Mother's Boys | 1994 | R | - 5.7.5
Jamie Lee Curtis plays a psychopath who comes back to her family in order to torment everybody.
SEX/NUDITY 5 - There's a brief scene of heavy petting where both parties remain clothed. In another scene, the two are about to have sex, and she tears her jacket off: while there's no nudity, there's a lot of lewd kissing and several closeup shots of breasts jammed into a slinky bra. We later see a brief shot of a woman's bare breast. In another scene, a woman is shown bathing and she stands up to reveal herself to her 12-year-old son -- the audience gets an extreme close up of her bare backside.

LANGUAGE 5 - One F-word, and a handful of scatological and anatomical references and insults.
DISCUSSION TOPICS - Suicide, divorce, sexual abuse, self-mutilation, abandonment.
MESSAGE - There's no such thing as an instant family; you have to build one over time with love and trust.
CAVEATS
Be aware that while we do our best to avoid spoilers it is impossible to disguise all details and some may reveal crucial plot elements.
We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and older reviews are not as complete & accurate as recent ones; we plan to revisit and correct older reviews as resources and time permits.
Our ratings and reviews are based on the theatrically-released versions of films; on video there are often Unrated, Special, Director's Cut or Extended versions, (usually accurately labelled but sometimes mislabeled) released that contain additional content, which we did not review.
