Mickey 17 SEX/NUDITY 6
– A man and a woman look at each other with interest across a room, they talk and flirt and go to another room where we see them kissing passionately and having sex: we see thrusting, and the man’s head is seen between the woman’s knees, implying oral sex (we see his bare shoulders, chest, abdomen and back and her bare shoulders, abdomen, back and thighs). A woman lies in bed with two men, she kisses one man and puts her hand in the front of the other man’s boxer shorts; she is then shown straddling one man while removing her top and bra (we see her bare back).
► A man caresses the clothed buttock of a woman and they kiss, the woman giggles and they walk away. A man and a woman kiss. A woman touches a man’s face tenderly and leans toward him to kiss him; he pulls away and leaves the room. Two women hug and one rests her head on the other’s shoulder tenderly.
► A man talks about creating a “pure white planet” and discusses a woman’s genetics; she asks him, “Am I just a uterus to you?” A man announces that to conserve resources, there will be no sexual activity onboard a space vessel. A man announces that there will be a “sex encouragement campaign” upon arrival to a planet. A man and a woman draw stick figures in several sexual positions.
► A newly created body rolls out of a machine and plops on the floor (we see his bare chest, abdomen, back, legs and buttocks). A fully nude man sits in an isolation chamber and is exposed to freezing temperatures (we see his bare chest, abdomen, and legs, without genitals visible). Several scenes show a man moving through a machine and we see him shirtless (his bare chest and abdomen are visible). A man undresses to put on a special suit and we see his bare chest and abdomen to the hips. A woman wears a T-shirt and underwear and we see her bare legs to the hips.
Mickey 17 VIOLENCE/GORE 6
– A man in a space suit is shown outside a space vessel while being observed by people inside the vessel and his face begins to bubble from exposure to radiation; he is told to remove his glove and when he does, his hand is swiftly cut off and floats through space with blood and matter visible. A man is sent outside a space vessel onto the surface of a planet where we are told that there is a lethal virus in the air; the man removes his helmet and breathes deeply and we later see him in isolation and vomiting blood repeatedly (we see the blood spray onto the enclosure wall), and his body is wrapped in a containment sack and thrown into an incinerator (the man is still alive in one scene).
► We hear about a man that preys on and kills unhoused people; we see a person sitting in an alley and the man draws a knife, walks off-screen as we hear the sound of stabbing and then see a person lying in a pool of blood. Several people explore a cavern and a small creature jumps on a woman’s leg and bites her; the others shoot at other creatures in the area and the first woman shoots at one on the roof of the cavern causing it to collapse on her head killing her. Two men are tasered and fall to the floor; they are later shown with tape over their mouths as they are forced to watch another man as his leg is cut off with a chainsaw (we see his severed leg below the knee) and blood splatters from the saw. A man holds a red-hot poker to another man’s cheek, burning him (we see the reddened flesh). A woman slashes a man on the hand with a blade (we see blood). A man bites another man’s ear off (we see blood as he spits out the bloody ear) and throws him into an incinerator.
► A man punches another man and throws him into the entrance of an incinerator where he clings to the walls and another man tries to help him out; the first man holds a red-hot poker by the clinging man’s face threatening to push him into the incinerator until they are interrupted by another person and the man is helped to safety. A woman holds a saw to a man’s neck. A man prepares a gas that when dispersed will exterminate a population of alien creatures. A woman tackles another woman and holds her with her leg around her neck threatening to snap her neck.
► Many creatures swarm outside a vessel and create mounds to misdirect people onboard to the lead creature’s location. A man falls onto his bed and is startled by another version of himself lying next to him; they argue briefly and one throws a dumbbell at the head of the other (we hear the impact as the screen goes dark). Two men argue, they fight and one chokes the other briefly. A man falls to the floor vomiting torrents of goo that we see; we later see him with a rash on his neck and understand that he is having reactions to chemicals in the food that he ate and when he is injected with something to help the pain, he gets up, thrashes, yelling and crashes into a glass table shattering it. A small creature skitters out of a hole in a large stone and people in the room panic and run away as several people with guns shoot at the creature (we see it blasted to small pieces with blood splatter) and a man is grazed on the cheek (we see a bit of blood). A man inserts a hook in a small creature and hangs it over an incinerator after it spits on the man (we see goo on the floor and it is rescued later). A creature tells a man that when the creatures make a loud sound it will blow up a human’s brains.
► A man quizzes another man about death and a woman draws a gun and fights with the first man; she and the second man are shown in a cell later. A man is tasered in the chest and falls to the floor. Creatures with tendrils in their mouths move toward an immobilized man in a cavern; one large creature drags him out of the cavern and many others lift him to the surface. A woman gives a man a gun and tells him to shoot himself and he needs to get used to dying (he does not use the gun). A man in an isolation tank is shown with a bloody nose and we understand that he is dying. A man yells at another man and raises his fist. A diagram is shown with details about how to cut a man up. A man pushes a button causing an explosion in the distance.
► A man says that a man in an observation enclosure will be dead in 10 minutes and that he will bleed from every orifice. A man threatens to have another man “permanently deleted.” A person is threatened with being beaten. A man revives covered with snow and ice after a fall into a deep cavern and says, “I should have snapped in half and died”; another man discovers him and asks, “You haven’t died yet?” and leaves him for dead. A man says, “I really hate dying.” A man tells several creatures that leave him on a snow-covered planet’s surface, “I’m perfectly good meat,” wondering why they haven’t eaten him. A man asks another man, “Are you afraid to die?” Many people ask a man what it feels like to die. We hear that a technology that reproduces humans was banned on Earth. A man has flashbacks to a memory from his childhood and he is convinced that something he did caused his mother’s death. An alarm rings and a man is reprimanded for taking too much food in a cafeteria. A man’s rations are reduced several times as punishment. We hear that people are in a psych ward and that a woman slit her wrists.
► Several scenes show a man being “reprinted” and moving (as if in a printer feed) out of a machine; we are told that his memories are stored in a brick and implanted each time. A man being recreated in a machine moves through on a platform and we see his internal organs and bone matter through an observation window. A woman cuts the tail of a small creature off and it screeches; the woman then cuts the tail into pieces and puts it in a blender (we see it liquefied and it is red).
► A man eats a plate of food that we are told is meat and is covered in an unidentified sauce. We see a tank containing what we are told is dead bodies, human waste and the raw materials that are used to recreate a human body. A woman pops a pimple on a man’s forehead and we see the goo on her finger. A man refers to having a pimple on his buttock (we do not see it). A red liquid is thrown at a screen and we see it splatter. A woman holds out her hand and a red liquid pools in her palm.
