 – A young man is gagged and tied into a chair as a person wearing a devil’s mask holds a knife to his throat; the masked person dips the knife into a jar of peanut butter and walks toward the restrained young man as he screams and thrashes trying to get away (we see the body later with swollen and discolored facial features and blood on his mouth). A man is shown dead on the ground with the neck of a guitar jammed into his throat and blood all around him and on his clothing; a woman screams and runs when she sees him and is stabbed through the back of the head when she gets into her car to get away; we hear a squish and see the bloody blade when she slumps forward. A young woman picks up a hamburger to bite into it and says, “I hate you,” and she is startled when a person wearing a devil’s mask enters and hits her with a cleaver (blood pools on the floor). A young woman is alone in a cabin and a masked person stabs her in the back (we see blood in her mouth), then raises a mask over the body and slams it down a couple of times (we hear thuds and see blood). CAVEATS

Be aware that while we do our best to avoid spoilers it is impossible to disguise all details and some may reveal crucial plot elements.

We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and older reviews are not as complete & accurate as recent ones; we plan to revisit and correct older reviews as resources and time permits.

Our ratings and reviews are based on the theatrically-released versions of films; on video there are often Unrated, Special, Director's Cut or Extended versions, (usually accurately labelled but sometimes mislabeled) released that contain additional content, which we did not review.
