After serving in the military as a special operator, a man (Jason Statham) works a construction job, while maintaining his anonymity, until a young woman is kidnapped and he is called upon to use his special set of skills to return her home safely. Also with Jason Flemyng, Merab Ninidze, Maximilian Osinski, Cokey Falkow, Michael Peña, David Harbour, Noemi Gonzalez, Arianna Rivas and Isla Gie. Directed by David Ayer. A Working Man SEX/NUDITY 3
– A young woman is transported in a trunk and delivered to a man (human trafficking is implied). A young woman is taken to a man and when he is told that she will be cleaned up for him, he says, “I want her dirty.”
► A man and a woman kiss. A wife kisses her husband’s forehead and caresses his face (please see the Violence/Gore category for more details).
► Several scantily clad women are shown dancing on a TV screen (we see cleavage, bare abdomens, legs and partial buttocks). Women in nightclubs wear low-cut dresses and dance in a few scenes.
► A woman wears a low-cut dress that reveals her bare shoulders and back. A woman wears a low-cut tank top that reveals cleavage and bare shoulders. A man wears an open vest that reveals his bare chest and abdomen.
A Working Man VIOLENCE/GORE 8
– A man holds another man in front of him and two other men shoot him (blood spurts and he falls dead); the man that had been shielded then shoots the other two men in the chest with a shotgun and we see several bloody holes in their chests. Two men fight with knives, one man is stabbed in the shoulder, one man is thrown against a pillar, and the other is pinned against a pillar and stabbed through the throat (we see blood gush from the wound, drool from his mouth and we hear a crunch). A man is surrounded by several other men in a room and they fight; the man uses an animal’s skull with horns to hit a couple of others, then breaks bones, punches and kicks the men until they are immobilized, and is about to jam a broken bottle into a man’s throat when he is stopped.
► Two men shove another man and punch him a couple of times (we see blood on his face); another man throws a bucket of nails at the attackers and they draw guns on him as he punches and swings a pickax at them, throws a bag of cement at them, and holds a gun on them and several other armed men that join in until they disperse. A man throws a carafe of hot coffee in another man’s face, the man yells and the first man punches him hard knocking him to the floor unconscious; he awakens tied to a chair and with tape over his mouth before being slapped hard in the face, questioned and dropped into a swimming pool still attached to the chair where he drowns and we see the body later being zipped into a body bag. A man with a gun enters a room and threatens another man; he then waterboards the man in a bathtub (the man gags and gasps for air). A man kicks another man into a puddle of water and shoots him twice (we see blood). A grenade is thrown into a club and people are thrown through the air when it detonates and people with guns open fire on each other. A person on a motorcycle jumps and crashes through a large window, speeds around a room inside a building and shoots at a man before being shot. A man is shot and thrown back into a cistern with blood on his shirt. A man shoots a police car and it bursts into flames with two officers inside (we hear them yelling).
► A man fights two other men in the back of a box van and one of the men tries to shoot him, nearly shooting the driver; they continue to fight and one man shoots the driver (blood spurts on glass) and the van tips on its side, two men are shot and one man gets out of the back of the van, pushes it down an embankment, into a stream and leaves. An armed man stabs and slashes several armed security people around a building, gunfire is exchanged and people are shot (blood spurts). Men with guns surround another man and he speeds away on a motorcycle chased by the gunmen as they shoot at him, he speeds off-road and crashes into a police car and an officer hits him in the face with a gun butt; another man gives her money and she leaves. A man fires a large automatic weapon into the ceiling of a club and people scatter and scream. A man fights with another man with punches and slamming his head against a wall repeatedly before breaking his neck. A young woman with her hands chained in the air, kicks a woman and squeezes her legs around her neck, killing her.
► A young woman is placed in a trunk and wheeled into a room where a man waits for her (human trafficking is implied); the man goes to the room, listens through the top of the case using a stethoscope and hears a heartbeat; the man then rushes out of the room yelling that she bit him (we see torn flesh and blood on his face). A woman in a car holds a gun on a young woman bound in the back of the car, the young woman kicks her and the car door, and the driver speeds off the road and crashes into a tree; the young woman gets out of the car and runs into a dark forest, chased by the two other people as they shoot at her. A young woman is pushed into a muddy puddle and threatened with a gun.
► A man arrives at a house to find it engulfed in flames, he goes inside and finds a man with his hands bound, coughing and gasping on the floor, picks him up and carries him to safety (we see the man with char on his face outside). A young woman is held over the mouth and taken away by a man; she is placed in a car and we see her in a cell with her hands bound later when a woman threatens her with a gun. A man shoots an arrow at another man and it hits a tree behind him startling him. A wife kisses her husband and caresses his face; he slaps her hard across the face and she points a knife at him before storming out of the room. A man puts a woman’s finger in a cutting tool and threatens to cut her finger off (she does not). A woman watches a man in a bar on CCTV and determines that he has a gun in his pocket; the man is taken by two other men to see a man in a room with several armed men standing around him. A woman holds a gun on a man under a table. A man arranges to buy drugs from a man and he throws the bag into a stream under a bridge when he drives away. A man buys a large amount of drugs and dumps them into a toilet.
► A cleaning crew arrives at an apartment and we see bloody body parts being wrapped in plastic and placed in a barrel. Two bodies are seen in a morgue with blood on the bags they were transported in. We see a few war sequences with gunfire and an explosion throwing a soldier through the air. We hear that a man was blinded by an explosion during war.
► A man threatens another man over custody and visitation of his young daughter and blames him for the death of the child’s mother. We hear that a woman, suffering from depression committed suicide. A young girl tells her father that she is mad at her mother for leaving them (she died). A man is told that another man is baiting him and accused him of having untreated PTSD. A man wakes up in his car with a start; he brushes his teeth and spits in a cup (we see some saliva). Several young women go to nightclubs using fake IDs. “Ukraine” is painted in graffiti on a wall. A man is referred to as, “Your blind friend that doesn’t know he’s blind.” A young woman is taken to a man and when he is told that she will be cleaned up for him, he says, “I want her dirty.”
► A young woman appears unwell after drinking at nightclubs; she vomits (we see goo) and we see her makeup streaking down her face. A man unfurls a mattress in a rented room and we see large stains (it could be blood).
