VIOLENCE/GORE 3 - There are a couple of all-out battles with the goblins. A cat has a fight with a goblin-cat-creature, who later threatens the Princess. A goblin dog is kicked and punched, but we only see the shadows of these actions. Curdie, the Princess' champion, fights goblins with a large club, and a sword, but, most of the harm comes from the goblins getting their sensitive feet stomped on. A beast of burden gets whipped. A goblin's hand comes out of the ground and tries to drag a cat in. Curdie falls 30 or 40 feet onto some rocks and is momentarily dazed. Curdie's bloodied leg is shown, after he falls down some stone stairs. A goblin falls from a waterfall to his doom.

CAVEATS

Be aware that while we do our best to avoid spoilers it is impossible to disguise all details and some may reveal crucial plot elements.

We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and older reviews are not as complete & accurate as recent ones; we plan to revisit and correct older reviews as resources and time permits.

Our ratings and reviews are based on the theatrically-released versions of films; on video there are often Unrated, Special, Director's Cut or Extended versions, (usually accurately labelled but sometimes mislabeled) released that contain additional content, which we did not review.
