The MPAA rating has been assigned for “suggestive material, smoking and some thematic elements.” The Kids-In-Mind.com evaluation includes an implied sex scene with partial nudity, a few kissing scenes, discussions of scandals involving divorce and impropriety, several arguments about money and managing a house, several arguments about organizing a festival, and lots of mild name-calling and insults. A new generation is set to take over Downton Abbey until the one aristocrat next in line (Michelle Dockery) is struck by a scandal that rocks the family; plus, they must confront the loss of a good deal of their fortune after having been swindled by a conman (Alessandro Nivola). Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale SEX/NUDITY 3

 – A man and a woman wake up in bed and we see the woman’s bare shoulders and the man’s bare shoulders, chest, abdomen and back, as they talk about having had sex the night before; the man leaves the room and throws the woman a kiss, as the woman’s maid witnesses him leaving. A man and a woman kiss passionately and are interrupted when another woman enters the room. A man and a woman kiss.
 A man touches another man tenderly on the back and another man clears his throat, seeming alarmed by the gesture. A man kisses a woman on the cheek in greeting.
 A woman tells another woman that she slept with a man and the other woman is upset asking, “He’s not Turkish is he?” A woman talks about being nervous about sleeping with a man for the first time.
 Women wear bras and petti pants (cleavage, bare abdomens and legs to the upper thighs are seen) while backstage in a theater. Women wear clinging gowns that hug their hips, buttocks and breasts as well as reveal cleavage, bare backs and shoulders. Women wear low-cut evening gowns that reveal cleavage and bare shoulders in several scenes. A woman is shown wearing a bra and underwear that reveal cleavage, and her bare abdomen and bare legs to the upper thighs before wrapping a robe around her.

Downton Abbey: The Grand Finale VIOLENCE/GORE 2

 – A man threatens to expose a woman’s impropriety if she doesn’t allow him to be in control of her family’s money. A woman tells another woman that she must leave a party before two other people arrive to avoid embarrassment and scandal (because the woman is divorced). A man says that another man took a bullet for him and saved his life in war. A woman threatens a man to destroy him if he does not stop trying to scheme money out of her family. A man becomes angry about expenses and money and yells in a few scenes. Several people bicker about the organization of a celebration. A horse bumps into a man as it passes and the man is startled (no injuries are seen). A woman says that she and her husband, “Fought like cats.”
 A woman teases a man saying that he has gone from, “Revolutionary to capitalist.” A woman says that she is not wanted in respectable company. Newspaper headlines broadcast that a woman is divorced. People talk about relationship scandals in the British aristocracy. A woman says that giving a particular man financial responsibility is like, “Putting a drunk in charge of a bar.” People talk about the stock market and it not being safe. A man is very nervous about meeting a famous writer. A man says that a woman “Terrified the daylights out of me.” Press people crowd around people arriving at a party. A man complains of London being, “Stripped of its private palaces.” A man tries to drive a car and stalls a few times causing the car to lurch and his passenger to become uncomfortable. A woman says of a man, “Hell hath no fury like a snob scorned.”
 We see a couple of horse races run with loud pounding of hooves and yelling by the spectators. A small dog growls at a man passing in a hallway.
