VIOLENCE/GORE 5 - There are several creepy and tense scenes when a man sees images of his dead wife, hears her voice coming from a corpse, finds things which he has packed up unpacked again, and hears tales told by children who have had near-death experiences and claim to have seen her. In another creepy scene a man hears a child's voice calling out to him. A man is thrown into a wall and pinned to the floor by two men. A bus full of women and children drives on a dirt road and nearly falls over a cliff; it is then hit broadside by a mudslide, pushed down a hill and into raging rapids (we see this scene a few times with increasing detail and in one scene we see many dead and bloody bodies floating in the water). CAVEATS
Be aware that while we do our best to avoid spoilers it is impossible to disguise all details and some may reveal crucial plot elements.
We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and older reviews are not as complete & accurate as recent ones; we plan to revisit and correct older reviews as resources and time permits.
Our ratings and reviews are based on the theatrically-released versions of films; on video there are often Unrated, Special, Director's Cut or Extended versions, (usually accurately labelled but sometimes mislabeled) released that contain additional content, which we did not review.
