Why is “S#!%house” rated R? The MPAA rating has been assigned for “language throughout, sexual content and drug/alcohol use.” The Kids-In-Mind.com evaluation includes several sex scenes, a couple of implied sex scenes with partial nudity and discussions of casual sex, a couple of physical altercations, a bruised shin from a baseball, several bitter arguments, discussions of growing up, dealing with the death of loved ones and estrangement, scenes of underage drug and alcohol use, and over 60 F-words and other strong language. Far away from home for the first time, a college freshman (Cooper Raiff) struggles to fit in and make friends, feeling completely out of his element.  – A young man and a young woman kiss on a bed, he takes off his shirt (we see his bare chest, abdomen and back), she takes off her shirt (we see cleavage, her bra and abdomen), he puts on a condom off-screen and they kiss; he then kisses down her abdomen (oral sex is implied), thrusts on top of her, she straddles him thrusting briefly, he thrusts on top of her and then lies next to her complaining that all the blood must be in his head and they talk. A young man and a young woman lie on a bed, she straddles him and thrusts and he moans and climaxes (they are both clothed). A young man and a young woman kiss on a bed and lie back as the scene ends (sex is implied); they wake up in bed together in the morning and we see their bare shoulders above the sheets (he is shirtless and we see his bare chest and abdomen). A young man finds another young man with a young woman in a room and the young man is shown holding a condom near his genitals (sex is implied).

A young man describes a woman and holds his hands in front of his chest as if he is describing the size of the woman’s breasts.
► A young man walks through the hall of a dorm wearing a towel around his waist after showering and he has locked himself out of his room (we see his bare chest, abdomen and back). Young women at parties wear low-cut tops that reveal cleavage and bare backs. A young woman showers and we see her bare shoulders, cleavage and back. S#!%house VIOLENCE/GORE 3

 – A young man slaps another young man in the face. A young man grabs another young man’s arm and forces him out of a party; the second young man mocks the first and the first chases him along a sidewalk, over a fence and eventually throws a basketball hitting him in the head. A young man pitches a baseball toward a young woman and it hits her in the shin; she falls to the ground in pain and we see a swollen bruise on her leg. A young man acts aggressively when another young man asks if they are going to a party. A young man and a young woman argue bitterly. A young man reprimands a young woman for disposing of her dead turtle in a dumpster; the young man climbs on the side of the dumpster, the young woman pushes him in and he retrieves the remains for burial.
► A young woman tells a young man that she will beat him up if he keeps harassing her. A man driving a car stops short and says, “I could have killed that guy,” presumably someone in a crosswalk. A young woman kisses a young man and pulls his hair. A young woman is dismissive of a young man at a party and he says, “I feel like my heart dropped out of my [anatomical term deleted].” A young man wakes up and says that he doesn’t remember anything from the night before; he says, “I have to stop drinking so much. A young woman tells a young man that her turtle died that day and that she threw the remains in a dumpster. A young man and a young woman prepare to bury a dead turtle and they each say a few words as a eulogy. A young man says that he has zero friends and that he talks to his stuffed animal from home. A young woman says that her parents are divorced and that she hasn’t spoken to her father since she was 15. A young man calls home and cries that he misses his family so much and when his mother tells him he should come home, he refuses saying that it would be a bad thing to do. A young man and a young woman both say that they are colorblind. A young woman asks a young man if he “believes in God,” and the young man answers, “On airplanes I do.” A young man and a young woman talk about death.
► A young man vomits into a wastepaper basket in two scenes; we hear retching and splatter (we do not see goo). A young man tells another young man (passed out on the floor) that he has defecated in his pants and tries to get him up to go shower and get cleaned up (he won’t get up). A young man spits a beverage back into a cup at a party (he seems inebriated). A young man says that he has a peanut allergy. A young woman talks about having her dead turtle cremated. A young man flatulates loudly.
