The MPAA rating has been assigned for “pervasive language, sexual material, and drug use.” The Kids-In-Mind.com evaluation includes a kissing scene, two fully nude men running on a track (their genital areas are not evident), many scenes of people arguing and feeling anxious about losing money, a scene of a man smoking marijuana and another of someone snorting cocaine, and over 100 F-words and other strong language. Based on the true story of a financial analyst (Paul Dano) that bucked the system and invested in a stock that the Wall Street establishment did not support, and when his many social media followers joined him, the value of the GameStop company stock bizarrely soared, leaving hedge fund managers in a panic. Dumb Money SEX/NUDITY 5

 – Two young women kiss tenderly. A young woman licks a young man’s face while playing a game that requires participants to do things that they wouldn’t ordinarily do; a young woman puts her hand in the pants of another young woman and is told to leave her hand there for 2 minutes. Two clothed young women lie in bed together.
 A young woman talks about someone wanting to pay her to live chat with her while she takes a bubble bath. An audio accidentally turns on in a college lecture hall and plays a young woman repeating an anatomical term. A young man talks about someone being a “smoking hot blonde.”
 Two fully nude men race each other on a track (we see bare chests, backs, buttocks and legs; their genital areas are not evident). A man wearing swim trunks gets into a swimming pool and we see his bare chest, abdomen and back. An animated drawing shows a man wearing briefs lifting off the ground with erect genitals stretching the fabric of the briefs. Women wearing swimsuits (we see cleavage, bare abdomens, backs and partial bare buttocks) dance at a pool party and we see thrusting and gyrating. A man caresses a picture of a man on a wall suggestively and we see the man in the picture wearing only briefs (his bare chest and abdomen are visible).
 A man recites lyrics to a song and makes suggestive gestures including thrusting against a stool and slapping his clothed buttock. A man talks about having run a mile completely nude (we do not see this).

Dumb Money VIOLENCE/GORE 2

 – A man in a hospital hits the nursing station window with his walker demanding coffee; a nurse behind the window knocks her coffee cup on the floor and cuts her foot when she steps in a shard of the broken cup (we see blood).
 Two men argue in several scenes and try to hit each other in one scene until their father yells at them to stop. We hear a man moaning in a couple of scenes and see that he is being stretched on a table by a massage therapist. Several people grieve at a gravesite and we understand that a woman died from COVID-19. People are shown anxiously trying to decide whether to continue to hold onto a stock investment or to sell. A few people are shown being served with subpoenas to testify before Congress. People protest outside a building and one person throws what appears to be feces at a man as he enters the building (it splatters on glass behind him).
 A man drives a car while smoking a cigarette and eating and he spills a drink on the passenger seat causing him to swerve the car. A woman in a passenger seat gasps when she thinks a car is swerving into their lane; the driver of the car she is in yells at her. Two fully nude men race each other on a track as a rainstorm approaches and we see lightning in the distance.
 A woman talks about her father losing his pension after a company he worked for was bought, drained of its assets and left bankrupt. People talk about betting against Wall Street and investing in a stock. People talk about a stock market crash. Graffiti that reads “I can’t breathe” and “[F-word deleted] the police” is shown on a wall. People refer to “screaming into the void.” A young woman says, “I feel sick” (she does not get sick).
 A woman is shown being tested for COVID-19 and we see a swab being inserted in her nose (she later wipes what appears to be blood on a tissue). A man is shown with a large pig in his house as a pet and he feeds it as the animal snorts. A remark is made about a man drinking his own urine. An animated drawing shows one person spanking another on the clothed buttock.

Dumb Money LANGUAGE 10

 – A man snorts cocaine at a party, a man smokes from a bong, a man mimics snorting cocaine off his cellphone screen, and an animated drawing shows a man smoking a large marijuana cigarette. Two men order beers in a bar and other people seated nearby are seen drinking alcohol, a woman pours a man a beer at home, a man drinks champagne, a woman drinks wine in several scenes, people drink wine at a dinner table, a man and a woman drink wine, people drink alcohol in a club, a woman drinks champagne on a plane and a flight attendant tells her that she will bring her something stronger, and many people drink at a pool party. A man smokes cigarettes in several scenes, a man smokes while driving a car in a few scenes, a young woman smokes in a crowded room, and a man smokes while riding a bicycle in a couple of scenes.
