KPop Demon Hunters SEX/NUDITY 1

 – A young man and a young woman sing a romantic song, they hold hands and float into the air. A young man grabs a young woman’s wrist and they appear smitten when they look at each other. A man and a woman in an audience embrace.
Three young women cry and say how much they love each other. Several song lyrics are suggestive.
Three young women dance with suggestive gestures onstage. People in crowds and audiences swoon over several young men as they sing and dance. Three young women sit in a hot tub wearing robes.
Young women wear cropped tops and short shorts that reveal bare abdomens and bare legs to the upper thighs throughout the movie. A young man’s shirt pulls at the buttons and when it rips open we see his bare chest and abdomen.

KPop Demon Hunters VIOLENCE/GORE 3

 – Demon hunters use swords, daggers and arrows to kill demons and when they are struck they spray neon splatter and puddles of neon liquid (like blood). The silhouette of a person through a window is shown being attacked by a demon and a bright stream of light (suggesting the soul) is sucked out of the person and into the demon. Many demons charge three young women and the young women slash them with swords and shoot them with arrows causing them to splatter into neon sparks and gushes of neon liquid; a giant demon rises above a stage and spits a flame toward a young woman; she holds it off using her sword until a young man stands in front of the flame and is consumed (we see him disintegrate); the young woman slashes the giant demon in half as it roars loudly.
What looks like a large tear in a subway tunnel opens up and a swarm of demons pours through and rush toward three young women that fight them with swords, knives and arrows; one young woman is knocked down and many demons are blown away in a blast of neon light and the young women are distressed when they see that the train cars are empty of passengers, fearing for their wellbeing. A young woman slashes a demon across the abdomen and we see glowing lashes open in his flesh. A man is taken away by two other men and they all transform into demons. A young woman asks a woman to kill her and hands her a sword (she does not).
Three armed young women chase five young men and are attacked by many demons, two of the young women are surrounded and the third is distracted, but regains her composure and the three dispatch the demons and get away. Three young women wielding glowing swords, knives and arrows fight mobs of demons that swarm toward them in several scenes. Three young women are attacked by demons on a plane, they fight and the plane splits into pieces; they jump out of the plane and land (unharmed) in a stadium kicking up a large cloud and they perform. Three young women declare, “We’re going to kill them; let’s get battle ready,” and we see them donning black uniforms covered with spikes and arming themselves with weapons. Three young women argue on stage during a performance and the sleeves of one of the young women are pulled off to reveal patterns on her arms; she yells loudly shattering the stage lights and the two other young women hold a sword and daggers toward her before she runs away.
A large crowd of people chant and march like zombies into a large stadium where a giant demon says, “I’m ready to feast.” Five young men turn into demons, we see them with patterns on their skin (like tattoos), and they threaten to eat the fans of a singing group. A man accidentally hits a camera person in the face. A young woman snarls at a man and he pulls away and yips. A young woman falls on the ground and spills the items she is carrying when a young man brushes against her; he says, “Watch yourself,” and she becomes angry. A young woman shoves a young man and they argue briefly.
Demons gather underground and we see many standing around a large neon flame where a deep rumbling voiced demon speaks to them about needing to be fed with souls. Demons have sharp fangs, claw-like hands, horns, and some have malformed faces with bumps and are brightly colored.
A young woman rushes through a dark alley toward a young man, she slashes her sword toward him and cuts off his head (we see that it is a mannequin). A young woman says that she is going to “smash your demon face.” A young woman says that she is going to “fricking smash” a young man’s face. A young man and a young woman argue about their secrets in a few scenes.
When a young woman is unable to hit high notes when performing and the concert has to be rescheduled, the crowds become louder. Large crowds of people scream and press against barriers at the entrance to a concert venue and security guards call for help. Large crowds of fans cheer loudly at large stadia during concerts; there are flashing neon lights. Three young women slide down slides and their clothing sticks to the slides and makes loud squeaking sounds as onlookers cringe. A bird wearing a top hat and has three eyes appears on a young woman’s balcony; it is accompanied by a large neon-colored cat/tiger with glowing eyes and the cat spits out a letter in a puddle of saliva and the cat disappears and reappears on a street below inviting the young woman to follow.
A young man recalls his family suffering from hunger and that when he made a deal with the ruler, he was well-fed and comfortable, leaving his family behind. A young girl talks about her father having been a demon. There are many references to demons stealing souls. A young woman refuses to go to a bathhouse with her friends because she has patterns on her arms and she has kept this a secret. We hear reports of a large number of missing persons.
Three young women go to an office where a man examines one of them after her voice fails her; the man leans toward her and his eyes bulge as he looks into her eyes; the man says that she has “so many walls.” A fan at a celebrity signing has his leg in a cast and the singers push his leg back and forth roughly making him uncomfortable while trying to balance on crutches. A young woman rides on the back of a large cat and it floats through the air.
A young woman says, “I’m going to throw up” (she does not) and two others make gagging noises. Three young women talk about “carbo loading” before a performance and we see them putting large amounts of food into their mouths. Three young women’s stomachs gurgle and they burp loudly. CAVEATS

Be aware that while we do our best to avoid spoilers it is impossible to disguise all details and some may reveal crucial plot elements.

We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and older reviews are not as complete & accurate as recent ones; we plan to revisit and correct older reviews as resources and time permits.

Our ratings and reviews are based on the theatrically-released versions of films; on video there are often Unrated, Special, Director's Cut or Extended versions, (usually accurately labelled but sometimes mislabeled) released that contain additional content, which we did not review.
