The Christmas Chronicles 2 SEX/NUDITY 1
– A man and a woman kiss tenderly. People dance at a beach bar.
► A boy asks, “What are the odds my dad proposes,” and a teen girl becomes upset.
► A woman wears low-cut tops and dresses that reveal cleavage in a few scenes. A teen girl wears shorts and a tank top on the beach (her bare legs to the upper thighs and bare shoulders are seen). A teen girl wears shorts and a crop top that reveal cleavage, bare abdomen and legs to the upper thighs.
The Christmas Chronicles 2 VIOLENCE/GORE 3
– A large, wild cat enters a stable where reindeer are gathered and fights with one reindeer; we hear the cat snarling and we see a silhouette of them rearing up and fighting before we see the reindeer lying on its side (we do not see injuries but understand it has been “badly wounded”). A man and a teen boy struggle using magic and power beams over a star and the star explodes and extinguishes. A large, wild cat snarls and runs from a man in a sleigh pulled by eight reindeer; the man throws a net twice trying to catch the cat but does not manage to. A boy climbs a sheer wall to retrieve a rare root and a large, wild cat swats at him when he reaches the top causing the boy to fall down the cliff face and land hard on the ground below (he seems unharmed); the cat lunges at the boy on the ground and the boy throws an explosive toward it causing a plume of snow to be thrown in the air and the cat is thrown and runs away. A teen boy flying a sleigh drawn by “jackalotes” slams into a man flying a sleigh drawn by reindeer, a teen girl in the man’s sleigh drops a star and the teen boy catches it and flies away. A teen girl rides in a golf cart with a teen boy and a younger boy is hiding in the back; they approach a swirling tunnel of light and the two young children land on snow-covered ground where they fall unconscious until a man discovers them and takes them in a sleigh to revive them. An elf is nearly run down by a snowplow. A teen boy dangles from underneath a sleigh as it takes off and flies through energy blasts in a borealis, and drops onto the ground where he is greeted by a large wild cat that licks him on the face and an elf.
► An elf dangles from under a drone as it flies to a tower where the elf pours elf bane into cannons and fires it over a village causing elves to become mean and angry; they fight, throw things at each other, one swings a chain saw around and they laugh maniacally. A teen boy steals a star from a tall tree in a village and the lights dim and extinguish as the ground shakes. A sleigh lifts off and flies awkwardly with only seven reindeer and it crashes through trees before steadying. Many arrows are shot at a man and he deflects all but one that hits him in the buttock (we see it sticking into his robe in the back before it magically disappears and he seems unharmed). A sleigh it landed hard at an airport and the reindeer team pulling it collapse from exhaustion. Two sleighs fight in the air with one extending a bladed device that cuts the body of the other sleigh; they bump into each other several times, and then hover facing each other before speeding headlong into each other, but they are blown out of the sky by an explosive that is thrown between them. A teen girl jumps out of a sleigh in mid-air, falls, and a parachute opens guiding her gently to a platform at the top of a tree; a drone flies around her shooting flames at her and we see her hat singed, a boy shoots a Nerf dart at the drone and knocks it out of the sky and it sets a teen boy’s pants on fire before it crashes (the boy runs and sits in snow to dowse the flames). A boy shoots Nerf darts at elves stopping them from naughty behavior (throwing cherry bombs at him, etc.), the boy swings large lollipops at naughty elves knocking them out of his way so he can get to safety and when he closes a door in a house, we see a small elf hand pinched in the door. A large, wild cat leaps toward a teen girl and a reindeer intervenes, throwing the cat, and a man swings it by the tail and throws it into the sky.
► A woman yells at an airport employee when flights are delayed and then canceled; others join in the yelling and the employee calms them down by singing. A teen girl tries to steal batteries from an airport gift shop and she is led away by a police officer; we see her sitting in a waiting room looking forlorn. An elf defaces a sleigh and a man and a woman yell at him; he transforms into a human and runs away. An elf plays joke son other elves and we see one sit on a whoopee cushion causing embarrassment, and another elf slips on gumballs spilled on the ground and lands hard on stone steps (we do not see injuries). An elf is tied in a chair with a string of Christmas lights. Elves fire cannons in a village to make snow. Elves dance and jump around wildly until a chainsaw is thrown and it crashes into a turntable stopping the music. Elves throw snowballs at people, a man rolls a snowball, and as it rolls it picks up more snow and elves are caught in it until it crashes and breaks apart dropping them all on the ground (no injuries are seen). A woman gives a boy two cookies and she tells him that they have magical ingredients that if eaten will give the boy courage and one is an explosive to be used as a weapon. A teen boy picks a lock in a security office and he and a teen girl run away from an officer that yells for them to stop. A teen girl and a boy jump out of a flying sleigh and float safely to the ground with parachutes.
► A woman reads a story as we see a story of Santa’s beginnings in Asia Minor, putting coins in shoes left on doorsteps and she talks about the “joy of giving.” Elves perform a ritual to bring light from a star and fill a crystal container. A teen boy’s ears grow and sprout fur as he transforms from human to elf form.
► A teen girl talks to a teen boy about her father being gone and feeling sad that she wasn’t able to say goodbye to him. A teen girl complains about being on a beach at Christmas and says that a man brought them there, “Just so he could kiss up to mom.” A boy asks, “What are the odds my dad proposes,” and a teen girl becomes upset. A boy says, “I have anxiety.” A teen girl becomes upset and walks away from a man when he starts singing a Christmas song that was her now dead father’s favorite song. A teen girl accuses her mother of “ditching us.” A teen girl complains, “It’s gonna be like dad never existed.” A man talks to his young son about the boy’s mother having died and says, “We have to keep moving ahead.” A boy says, “We’re gonna freeze to death” when he and a teen girl wearing beach clothing are dropped on snow-covered ground in the North Pole. A woman talks about elves having been hunted and captured to the brink of extinction. A woman asks a teen boy, “What have you done?” when a village goes dark and a borealis shrouding the village collapses. A character says, “Christmas is doomed.” A boy worries about going to retrieve an ingredient for a healing potion on his own and he asks, “What if I get frostbite,” and a woman responds, “I’m an expert at re-attaching fingers and toes.” We hear that if Christmas spirit gets too low, Santa’s reindeer can’t fly. A man says that he and a teen girl have created “A tear in the fabric of time,” and we see a swirling cloud overhead. Before the elves turn naughty we see a movie marquee with “Elf” on it and after they turn naughty we see it with “Bad Santa.” An elf stands next to a boy and the boy yells and asks, “What is that thing?”
► An elf eats a bunch of candy canes off a conveyor belt and burps loudly.
