VIOLENCE/GORE 9 - There's a bloody massacre and many people are killed in different ways: shards of glass kill, people are on fire, and statues come to life and go on a killing spree, some men are shot many times. A creature erupts from a man's abdomen and another from a man's mouth. A man spits up blood, his face and chest split open and his bloody skeleton comes out of his body; a man's skin begins to bubble into bloody welts; a man's jaw is ripped from his face; a man shoots his own brains out; a man is decapitated and we see the bloody head fall. Several scenes of partially dissected corpses. A man removes a face from a corpse leaving a bloody pulp. Some scenes with particularly gory and gross looking beings. A man is very bloody after an explosion.

CAVEATS

Be aware that while we do our best to avoid spoilers it is impossible to disguise all details and some may reveal crucial plot elements.

We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and older reviews are not as complete & accurate as recent ones; we plan to revisit and correct older reviews as resources and time permits.

Our ratings and reviews are based on the theatrically-released versions of films; on video there are often Unrated, Special, Director's Cut or Extended versions, (usually accurately labelled but sometimes mislabeled) released that contain additional content, which we did not review.
