A New Jersey high school boy with a speech impediment is recruited to be a debate team member by a classmate, with whom he quickly becomes infatuated. Initially thrilled, he's determined to get rid of his stutter, but soon realizes that he may be but a cog in an ambitious plot to win the state debate championship.
