The MPAA rating has been assigned for “language throughout.” The Kids-In-Mind.com evaluation includes a large wave capsizing a boat and throwing the four men onboard overboard, many scenes of four men clinging to the hull of a capsized boat during a heavy storm that causes large waves, scenes of three men washing away from the hull of a capsized boat and out of sight, a few scenes of people hallucinating, several scenes of loved ones worrying and fearing the worst, a lot of yelling and calling for help and over 70 F-words and other strong language. Not Without Hope SEX/NUDITY 1

 – A fully clothed man thrusts his hips against a plate glass window and yells for the man inside to wake up; he then makes a sexual gesture with his hand. A man makes a sexually suggestive remark about an actress. A man makes a sexually suggestive remark.
 A man is shown shirtless during a training session and we see his bare back, chest and abdomen.

Not Without Hope VIOLENCE/GORE 5

 – A man on a boat pulls on an anchor line and it becomes entangled on a pipe on the ocean floor; other men on the boat help pull the line and one man engages the engines trying to pull free until a large wave crashes down on them capsizing the vessel and throwing four men off the boat. We hear rumbling and a huge wave rolls toward four men clinging to the hull of a capsized boat; one man suffers a leg wound and we see that he is bleeding. Sharks circle an overturned boat where two men struggle to cling on, until they lose interest and leave. A man suffering from hypothermia loses consciousness and slips off the hull of a boat and into the water sinking under the surface and out of sight; his body is never recovered and he is later reported lost at sea. A man suffering from hypothermia is knocked off the hull of an overturned boat and washes out of sight; his body is never recovered and he is later reported lost at sea. A man is struck by a large wave and floats away from an overturned boat; we see him face down in the water as he drifts away; his body is never recovered and he is later reported lost at sea. Four men struggle to flip a capsized boat back over while waves crash around them. Four men struggle to hang onto the hull of a capsized boat during a storm and fall off many times when they’re struck by large waves.
 Two men swim toward what they think is a lighthouse and land until it disappears and they panic and swim back to the capsized boat. A man suffering from hypothermia panics and thrashes wildly hitting a man that tries to keep him calm. A man says that another man’s heart is beating out of his chest while suffering from hypothermia. A man suffering from hypothermia says that he is hot and tries to take off his shirt. A man thinks that he sees a ship approaching him in the water; he is hallucinating.
 Men wave, yell and light a flare when a ship passes nearby their capsized boat; they are not seen. A plane flies overhead near a man stranded on a capsized boat and he waves and calls and holds a phone light in the air (he is not seen). A man dives under a capsized boat to retrieve life vests. A man presses an anchor line against propeller blades to cut the line. Two men tie themselves with cables to each other and a capsized boat to keep from being washed away by large waves during a storm. A man on the hull of a capsized boat is surrounded by rescue boats, lifted by a basket into a helicopter, and taken to land; we hear that he is severely dehydrated.
 A plane and a helicopter take off during a large storm and report that there is zero visibility. A ship begins a search for a capsized boat and four men during a storm. A weather report says that a storm has category 2 winds and predicts a cyclone. People begin to worry about four men on a boat at sea when a storm rages. Four men are discouraged when they realize they are unable to call for help with their cellphones because there is no service. We hear that four men were lost at sea 70 miles off the coast.
 A woman confronts the search and rescue team leader. A man wonders what will be said at his funeral and tells another man to make sure to tell his mother. A man describes what happens to the body when suffering from hypothermia and that it is a horrible way to die. A man confronts another man and accuses him of being racist after he tells him, “I own you,” and the other man is alarmed until the man making the accusation says he was joking. A man says that he lost his job with a financial firm and he and others discuss the recession being the cause. Four men talk about salt water frying their cellphones. A man talks about the stresses of playing professional football. A man wonders if a boat is large enough for four men. A woman leaves a sad message on her husband’s voicemail about their lives together and seems to realize that he is probably dead.
 Three men work out in a gym and lift heavy weights while yelling at each other for encouragement. A man appears to be suffering the effects of motion sickness while on a boat and lies down with his eyes closed a few times. A man catches a large fish and other men catch a few smaller fish.
