Predator: Badlands SEX/NUDITY 0

 – A cyberbeing wears tight-fitting clothing that outlines cleavage.

Predator: Badlands VIOLENCE/GORE 7

 – A being is thrown into a vessel and he watches as two other beings fight with swords: one cuts the other’s arm off (we see the severed limb and green blood) and they cloak and uncloak until one is stabbed through the body and his head is cut off (we see the severed head and green blood). A being is surrounded by two guards and he stabs them both in the head (we hear squishing) before fighting another being using blades and cutting off his hand; the being is held in laser chains and is stabbed in the head (we see green goo) and a creature then bites the being’s head off.
A being is approached by a giant creature resembling an ape with a large mouth filled with teeth; they fight and the being slashes the creature with his sword cutting part of its tail off and then its head, but it regrows and reattaches until they are both struck with a blast that freezes them. Many cyberbeings fight with a being and a few creatures and we see beings melting from liquid acid, we see limbs being pulled off, and others being slashed with blades; one cyberbeing is slammed onto a pointed tool and we see it driven through its eye and out the back of its head, and another’s head is crushed underfoot. Many armed cyberbeings surround a being and he spits an acid onto explosives that detonate and blow up the cyberbeings. A giant creature charges toward a mechanized vehicle and attacks it; the vehicle engages a saw that cuts the creature and the creature smashes the vehicle with a cyberbeing inside and throws it into a ravine. A giant mechanized vehicle marches toward a being shooting at him and a creature jumps in the way of the shots killing it. A being spits an acid liquid on trees and other beings melting and destroying them. A small creature pulls the head off a cyberbeing.
A being arms himself and hears noises in the surrounding area; long vine-like creatures swirl around him and snap at him, he jumps around them and cuts some of them off with his blade when one wraps around him and lifts him off the ground; he runs along one vine and reaches a ledge where they are unable to reach him; we see him cleaning and treating a wound on his arm. A being is stabbed by paralyzing tines and falls to the ground unable to move as a flying creature swoops toward him until someone hacks the creature with a bladed weapon (we see blood spurting). Several armed cyberbeings are blown up by an explosive device (we see them with their faces melted and exposed machinery. A being jumps out of the back of a moving vessel and runs away while being shot at by cyberbeings in the vessel.
An army of armed cyberbeings moves through a forest shooting many creatures. A being shoots a laser up the side of a mountain, glides up to a ledge and walks into a cave where he fights with another being using blades and throws; one of the beings cloaks himself and the other struggles to deliver blows without being able to see him, and one is kicked off a ledge and into a pit, where he catches himself and climbs back up. A being is locked in laser chains and shackles and he struggles to free himself as another being raises his sword to his head.
A being throws a partial cyberbeing up the side of a mountain to a ridge and puts her on his back using wrapped vines to hold her in place while he walks and runs through rough terrain.
A large creature with a large mouth filled with teeth charges toward a being and he jumps on its back to ride through a field of dangerous grass; he is knocked off when he slams into a tree and falls to the ground; the being throws a weapon at the large creature cutting it in half and the being holds two sections of what look like spinal column in the air. A creature in a tree drops a tentacle and picks up another creature lifting it into its mouth filled with many teeth but the smaller creature is freed; the first creature is later stabbed in the head and falls dead. A being is strapped onto an exam table and devices are implanted into his head to extract samples; he screams in pain as they move through his head and we see an X-ray image of the inside of his head.
A being talks to a cyberbeing and picks her up off the ground revealing that she is just a torso without legs (we see a partial spinal column dangling from the waist). A being travels in a vessel and lies unconscious until the ship enters a planet’s atmosphere; he flies to the surface on a small landing pod and a giant flying creature slams into him knocking him to the ground (he seems unharmed). A being cuts his own hand with a blade and we see green goo on the wound. Several creatures of varying sizes eat each other until the largest in the series is struck by a flying vessel and we see blood on the ground near its body. We see debris and rubble on the ground and many bodies and body parts are seen around the area; a cyberbeing says, “There I am,” and points to a severed set of legs at the waist. A being ignites a flammable liquid setting debris of an outpost on fire. A being uses a device to close an open wound on his leg. A being prepares weapons using things around him and we hear a squish when he pulls a long, sharp claw off something. We see severed legs to the waist with a portion of a spinal column walking without a torso and head.
A cyberbeing threatens another cyberbeing and instructs others to “box her up”; we see the cyberbeing’s torso and head in a containment crate later. A being threatens attackers saying, “I’ll rip out your spine and crush your skull.” A being tells another being that he must be culled from a clan because he is small and weak. A being tells another being, “Failing means death.” A being tells another being, “You fight with rage.” On-screen text reads that a clan of Yautja is “Prey to none. Friend to none.” A being tells another that he saved his life and protected him. Beings discuss earning a place in a clan. A computerized voice tells a cyberbeing that mission failure will result in her decommission. A being tells a cyberbeing that his father killed his brother. A cyberbeing describes wolves working in packs and that the alpha wolf’s job is to be the best at protecting the pack. A cyberbeing says that a mission was to understand and exploit others.
A plant inflates and displays many sharp tines that we are told contain a paralyzing agent. A caterpillar-like creature swells with bubbles and when a being throws it, it explodes like a hand grenade. A field of grass is referred to as razor grass and the blades are actually blade-like; a cyberbeing says, “It’ll cut you to ribbons.” A cyberbeing holds seeds and slime in her hand to use as an offering to eel-like creatures.
A badly damaged cyberbeing lies on a table and is plugged into a system that repairs her; we see a long pointed instrument move into her ear, her scarred flesh is repaired and a set of legs is reattached at her waist. A cyberbeing has scars on her face.
A being breaks off a piece of meat from a recent kill and offers it to a cyberbeing that declines and the being offers it to a smaller creature that eats it. A creature spits on a being and we are told this is in order to claim him for his clan.

CAVEATS

Be aware that while we do our best to avoid spoilers it is impossible to disguise all details and some may reveal crucial plot elements.

We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and older reviews are not as complete & accurate as recent ones; we plan to revisit and correct older reviews as resources and time permits.

Our ratings and reviews are based on the theatrically-released versions of films; on video there are often Unrated, Special, Director's Cut or Extended versions, (usually accurately labelled but sometimes mislabeled) released that contain additional content, which we did not review.
