Psychokinesis VIOLENCE/GORE 5

 - Many men wearing helmets break into a shop and a woman inside tries to fight them off; she is held and struck and another woman tries to intervene by driving her truck through a crowd, and she is pulled out of the truck and thrown on the ground and she hits her head hard on the curb (people scream and cry around her) and we see her in a hospital operating room after a head injury and then we see her monitors flatline.
A large group of riot police officers surround protestors and a man's leg is pinned under scaffolding as an explosion throws a man and a woman (we see some charred skin and they cough and get back up). Several men and a woman beat a man, and kick him and slam him into a table (we see blood in his mouth). A man punches another man in the face. A man is thrown against a wall and falls unconscious. A man grabs a woman by the hair and a man throws several men into a wall; men are thrown into a gate and others to the floor, and one man is lifted off the floor and his arm is twisted. A woman attacks several men for coming to her mother's funeral; she yells at them and shoves them.
Several men are flattened by a van as it is lowered out of the air. A man throws a power blast at another man. A man is put in a jail cell and he blows the bars away, throws things around the room and jumps out of the building; he lands on a car and crushes it, he floats off the ground and propels himself into the air fast. A man fights many police officers that pile on top of him; he throws them all off and we see other officers beating people with police batons. A man hangs from a railing where he is sprayed with a fire hose, he loses his grip and falls and another man catches him (no one is harmed). A man runs through lines of cars throwing them out of the way and tipping some over.
A man hangs from the underside of a container held in the air and a woman helps him, and then she falls and a man catches her. Many people scramble to build barricades as many men in vans speed toward a market place; men in the vans hold bats and run toward the shops while shop owners fight back.
A man moans from stomach pain, collapses onto a café table and causes furniture around him to be upturned. A man lies on a floor and tries to light a cigarette; he reaches for a lighter on the floor and it moves into his hand unaided, and with newfound powers he causes objects to float around him and a bottle hits him in the face and the lighter hits him in the head. A man wiggles his hips to cause a door to close and his tongue to place a chain lock on the door.
We hear that a woman's father left home. A man confesses to stealing coffee packets from a bank and toilet paper from work. We hear that someone was attacked by people with metal pipes. A woman yells at a man for leaving her mother. People are shown grieving at a funeral. A character says, "You knocked my socks off." A girl pleads with her mother for a cell phone and they argue briefly. A woman screams on a telephone.
A man drinks water from a spring and spits it out saying that it tastes bad. A meteor crashes to Earth and we see veins of neon colored energy moving through the ground and water.

CAVEATS

Be aware that while we do our best to avoid spoilers it is impossible to disguise all details and some may reveal crucial plot elements.

We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and older reviews are not as complete & accurate as recent ones; we plan to revisit and correct older reviews as resources and time permits.

Our ratings and reviews are based on the theatrically-released versions of films; on video there are often Unrated, Special, Director's Cut or Extended versions, (usually accurately labelled but sometimes mislabeled) released that contain additional content, which we did not review.
