Will Ferrell stars as a man who's never managed to satisfy his exceedingly competitive and critical father (Robert Duvall) since he's never been good enough in sports. But when he decides to become coach of his 10-year-old son's soccer team, he ends up having to compete against his own father -- who coaches the top soccer team of the league. SEX/NUDITY 2 - A man and a woman kiss, and a woman kisses a man on the cheek.
 A woman wearing a low-cut nightgown (it reveals cleavage) massages her husband's shoulders and kisses him (presumably trying to seduce him). A woman wears a low-cut dress that reveals bare shoulders and cleavage, a woman wears a low-cut top that reveals cleavage and a woman's top is short and reveals part of her lower back.
 A man announces that he is going to marry a much younger woman -- while she is sitting on his lap. A lesbian couple introduce themselves along with their adopted son.

VIOLENCE/GORE 3 - A man swings his fist at a man and hits another man in the eye (we see the man with a bruised eye). Several men tackle a man and hold him on the ground. A man kicks a boy into a pool. A man hyperventilates during a panic attack, his wife slaps him in the face and he stops. A man belly-bumps a woman knocking her down, and he belly-bumps another woman, who knocks him down.
 A man starts a chain saw and prepares to cut a side of beef (we see the beef lying on a table) and we then see the man and several boys with blood-covered butcher's aprons and very bloody hands and faces.
 A boy runs into the goal post and falls to the ground (he's ok). Boys are hit hard in the head and groin with soccer balls in several scenes. A man is hit hard several times with a tether ball in numerous parts of the body including the face and groin (we see red marks on his back, chest and abdomen). Boys are tripped, kicked and knocked down on a soccer field. Boys wrestle and shove each other and we see one stuffed into a ball bag. Boys throw balls in a house, one boy is hit in the head, and a man kicks a ball repeatedly hitting a fireplace screen and bending it. Two men argue and throw leaves over a wall at each other, and one throws a ball hitting a third man in the arm.
 A coach tells boys to "play dirty but don't get caught," a coach throws a chair onto the field during a game and yells, and a coach pushes a boy from another team onto the ground. A coach calls a boy from another team insulting names until the boy attacks him and knocks him to the ground. A man kicks his son in the shins. A man yells at children having a party in a park, a man yells at the boys on his soccer team.
 A man yells at a woman in a coffee shop and is confrontational with the people working in the shop; the woman grabs the man by the throat and pushes him to the floor, then the two people behind the counter push him out of the store and hold the door closed while he pulls at it. People argue and yell and insult each other in several scenes. A woman yells at her husband several times when she thinks that he is smoking in the house.
 A man throws a shotput, it crashes into a table where three men are sitting. A man jumps and falls face first into a sand pit. A man trips over hurdles and falls on the ground. A man throws a javelin that hits the ground near where a woman is walking. A man throws a dart that hits a neon light and breaks it, and he throws another dart that hits an aquarium shattering it and spilling the water and fish out onto the floor.
 A man and several boys howl and a large number of dogs charge into the yard after them. A man pounds on his steering wheel in anger and his air bag is deployed. A man burns his hand on a hot coffee cup, and a man burns his mouth with hot coffee.
 A man tells several boys that if their pizzas didn't come, they'd eat one of the boys. A man talks about his fish eating all of the other fish in the tank.
 A boy eats wiggling worms in two scenes. A boy urinates on a bush near a playing field where other people are gathered.

LANGUAGE 3 - 1 sexual reference, 3 mild scatological terms, 8 anatomical terms (2 mild), 7 mild obscenities, 1 derogatory term for Caucasians, 2 religious exclamations, name-calling (loser, clumsy).

SUBSTANCE USE - A man drinks vodka from a coffee cup. A man is introduced to coffee, becomes addicted to it and drinks it non-stop which causes him to behave erratically. A man smokes a cigar on the sidelines of a youth soccer game in a few scenes, and a man smokes cigars in several other scenes.

DISCUSSION TOPICS - Father/son relationships, competition, jealousy, inadequacy, parental expectations, pressure to succeed, youth sports, intimidation, obsession, winning, losing, environmental issues, favoritism, selfishness, quitting, enemies, vindictiveness, greed, good neighbors, rage, love, family, coffee consumption, addictive behavior, homosexuality, soccer.
