Dangerous Animals VIOLENCE/GORE 9
– A woman revives strapped into a fisherman’s chair on the back of a boat and sees a young woman unconscious and in a harness attached to a lift; a man cuts a piece of the young woman’s hair, wakes her up and uses the lift to pick her up off the deck and over water where chum is dumped and sharks are circling below the surface; she is lowered into the water up to her waist and she thrashes and screams as the other woman watches in horror when the sharks attack her and she falls unconscious (we see the young woman from above and a severed leg is seen floating underwater and then it disappears). A man is shot with a spear gun and falls into water where a giant shark attacks him and leaps out of the water, catching the man in its mouth; a cable attached to the spear wraps around a woman’s foot and pulls her into the water and out of sight. A man stabs a man in the side twice and lowers him into water as blood pours from his wounds.
► A man stabs a young man in the throat twice (blood gushes from the wounds), he falls off a boat into water where sharks are circling, as a young woman on the boat screams, and the scene ends. A man hits another man on the head with a hook and he collapses dead (blood trickles down his forehead and face). A woman gets out of a room and starts a boat, a man cuts the power and searches the boat for her, she shoots a flare at the man and climbs through a hatch, he pulls her by the legs back into the boat and she hits her head hard on a counter; he drags her on the floor and she gets up and hits him in the head with a heavy pan and stabs him through the hand with a knife (we see him pull the knife out). A woman swims away from a boat and a man on the boat chases her in a smaller boat; she reaches shore and calls for help as the man catches her and covers her mouth until she passes out. A man wraps a plastic bag around a woman’s head and holds her as she thrashes but then falls still; he puts tape on her mouth and injects her with a sedative. A man watches a video of a woman being attacked by sharks and we see a glimpse of it on a screen and hear the woman screaming.
► A man slams into another man and knocks him to the floor, he hits him a few times in the stomach and face, the injured man crawls on the floor to get away and the other man hits him in the back with a sharp hook, pulls him along the floor, and kicks him in the head; one man straddles the other man and holds a bar across his throat until another man hits him in the back of the head knocking him out. A man tries to inject a woman with a sedative, she wakes up and stabs him with a sharp implement and he falls back hitting his head on a bed frame; she runs away and tries to close the door but he revives and injects her in the leg causing her to limp and get woozy, she dives overboard and tries to swim to a nearby party boat but falls unconscious and is fished out by the man on the boat. A woman swings around a camera and tripod trying to hit a man holding a knife and she throws the camera overboard.
► A man is strapped into a harness and lowered into water from a boat where a woman is strapped into a fisherman’s chair to watch as sharks circle in the water under him; the man is lowered to the waist and holds very still as a large shark swims around him and swims away. A woman is strapped into a harness and lowered into water, she holds still and sees a large shark swim by, it circles and charges her and the woman kicks it; a man on the boat drops a spear pole into the water and the woman uses it to pull herself out of the water. A woman falls into water and a shark charges toward her but swims alongside before swimming away.
► A young woman’s head and torso float and bob near the surface of the water and we see some blood in the water around it and tissue flaps on it. A woman pulls her hand in a handcuff and tries to get out of it; she breaks her thumb and pulls hard, folding the skin and when it doesn’t work, she bites her thumb off (we see blood streaming and hear crunching and later see the severed thumb wrapped in a sheet). A woman wakes up handcuffed to a bed and she panics screaming for help. A woman kicks a metal frame that she is handcuffed to and yells in frustration. A man makes a fishing lure with a young woman’s hair and attaches it to a video box; he puts it in a cabinet with many other tapes of different people. An unconscious man with bloody wounds is chained to a bed. A young man and a young woman are put in a shark cage and lowered into water where many sharks circle around them (we see the sharks’ teeth as they pass); the young woman hyperventilates.
► We see a newspaper article featuring a young boy after a shark attack; the now adult man lifts his shirt to reveal a large bite scar on his side and back. A man goes to the police to report a woman missing after she doesn’t come back from surfing. A man describes a shark biting a man’s genitals when the man was urinating over the side of a boat. A man jokes about whether or not people have their last will and testament in order before getting on his boat. A woman describes life on land being stuck in metal coffins for transportation. A young woman says that she and her mother fought over the young woman taking a gap year because her mother said it was not safe. A man says that sharks bring order.
