A woman wears a deeply cut blouse that reveals cleavage in a couple of scenes. A woman wears a mid-thigh length miniskirt with tights. A woman wears a clinging dress. A poster in an office shows a man and a woman in an embrace, and another poster shows a woman riding on a man’s back.

A man says that he has had 1,000 dates with a dating service and did not enjoy any of them.  A woman says that she is pregnant and her abdomen bulges under a long sweater.

Love, Guaranteed VIOLENCE/GORE 2

 – A four-year-old boy yells for about two minutes, jumping up and down on a coffee table and a bed, slamming toys onto the floor and kicking things around the room; the child becomes quiet after a man gives him ice cream and the man says, “Next time I’m bringing holy water.”
We hear a scream off-screen and a couple rushes into the house next door, where a woman says her water broke; she says that her husband screamed, and he rushes into the room, jabbering and fumbling with keys and a bag. A woman slaps a man on the arm twice.
A woman sobs in one scene and cries loudly in her car in another scene. A man who is weakened by fasting sleeps and snores in a restaurant and a courtroom. A man snores at his office desk and a woman next to him throws a small office object at him, it hits him, and he awakens and throws a paper wad at her. A woman lights a prayer candle and a man and woman fold their hands and pray for the “Seahawks” to win.
A man threatens a woman over the phone, saying he will ruin her career because she joined a dating website, unless she drops a lawsuit against the website.  A man wears a wide cervical neck collar in a courtroom and we later see him having physical therapy for walking; we also see another man on crutches, who is missing a leg, with his empty trouser leg pinned up at the hip. We hear a flush in a restroom and see a clothed woman exit a stall and wash her hands.

CAVEATS

Be aware that while we do our best to avoid spoilers it is impossible to disguise all details and some may reveal crucial plot elements.

We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and older reviews are not as complete & accurate as recent ones; we plan to revisit and correct older reviews as resources and time permits.

Our ratings and reviews are based on the theatrically-released versions of films; on video there are often Unrated, Special, Director's Cut or Extended versions, (usually accurately labelled but sometimes mislabeled) released that contain additional content, which we did not review.
