The Sandlot | 1993 | PG | - 1.1.2
A "rite of passage" story, with the kids coming to grips with their greatest fear and facing it head-on.
SEX/NUDITY 1 - A mouth-to-mouth resuscitation scene turns into a kiss. Boys are leering at girls in bathing suits.

VIOLENCE/GORE 1 - A couple of kids get beaned with baseballs. There's a really good vomit scene on an amusement park ride. One of the guys fakes an almost-drowning in a swimming pool. All the violence is cartoonish.
LANGUAGE 2 - Some scatological language, creatively utilized.
DISCUSSION TOPICS - The kid who is the narrator of the tale adjusts to life with a new step-dad.
MESSAGE - Fear is a state of mind which can be overcome. Friendship is very valuable.
CAVEATS
Be aware that while we do our best to avoid spoilers it is impossible to disguise all details and some may reveal crucial plot elements.
We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and older reviews are not as complete & accurate as recent ones; we plan to revisit and correct older reviews as resources and time permits.
Our ratings and reviews are based on the theatrically-released versions of films; on video there are often Unrated, Special, Director's Cut or Extended versions, (usually accurately labelled but sometimes mislabeled) released that contain additional content, which we did not review.
Mufasa: The Lion King - 1.4.2
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 - 1.3.3
The Piano Lesson - 3.5.4
