VIOLENCE/GORE 4 - Soldiers shove and whip men; we see scars on some men's backs. A man is whipped repeatedly. A soldier is pushed off a scaffold, hits the ground and dies. A few times we see soldiers pushing women. Soldiers take babies from their mothers and throw them into the sea where two alligators with open mouths are waiting; several times during the movie we see a mural depicting this scene. Hippos snap their teeth and wrestle in the water, nearly overturning a basket carrying a baby; also, an alligator nearly eats the basket. A "tornado" of fire keeps knife-wielding soldiers from massacring a group of people; later, we see the soldiers swept away and drowned by rushing water. A man is buried up to his hair in sand during a wind storm; a camel bites a chunk of his hair and pulls him out of the sand, then spits water on his face. Two men drive their chariots recklessly; they nearly knock a man off a scaffold. Some men are nearly hit by a large falling stone. A woman tries to bite a man's finger. A man slaps a woman. We see a man, a woman and two animals tied up. A woman sprawls into a puddle. A snake eats two other snakes. People brush blood on their doors. We see a boy run into a house, fall down (we see his limp arm through the doorway) and die. A sea turns into blood. Swarms of bugs crawl on and fly around a city's residents. We see people with pink spots all over their bodies (presumably sores). Also, the tone of God's threatening voice is at times quite scary.
LANGUAGE 1 - One insult and a mild obscenity.
DISCUSSION TOPICS - Slavery, murder, faith, miracles, love, obedience, duty, God and His will.
MESSAGE - Have faith. Believe in miracles and miracles will happen, because with God all things are possible. God can be ruthless and merciless.
