Three soldiers (Tim Robbins, Rachel McAdams and Michael Pena) come home from Iraq, two for a 30-day leave and one permanently. They find that the lives they left behind have changed, and they end up taking a road trip across the U.S. when an unexpected blackout cancels all flights out of New York.
