VIOLENCE/GORE 3 - There are several types of dragons shown: some have large pointed teeth and one has two heads (we hear that one head blows out gas and the other sparks it to cause explosions); another type shoots blasts of energy and flame, another sets itself on fire and bares very pointed teeth, and an enormous dragon has a huge mouth filled with sharp teeth and six eyes.
► Men wearing horned helmets and carrying swords fight off many flying dragons in a few scenes: We see dragons blowing fire and setting dwellings on fire while people run and yell, and a few dragons are shown being struck and falling to the ground.
► An enormous dragon breaks out of a cave and onto a beach where many men are gathered: it blows fire all around and we see men, catapults and ships engulfed in flames, and some men are shown falling into the ocean.
► An enormous dragon lunges out of a huge gaping hole in a cave, snatches a small dragon out of the air and eats it.
► A teen boy enters a ring where a large dragon is released from a pen for him to kill in front of a large crowd: The boy approaches the dragon, drops his weapon on the ground, the dragon blows fire at the boy and a teen girl throws a hammer at the dragon.
► A large dragon chases another dragon and blows fire at it while flying through the air, they fly very high and into thick cloud cover, they speed back toward the ground and one dragon crashes and bursts into flames; the other dragon and a teen boy fly into the flames (it is thought that the boy is dead, but he is not).
► A dragon swoops toward several teens, a teen girl strikes it with a shield, the dragon blows fire toward the teens, it pins one teen boy against a rock, and a man jams his arm into the dragon's mouth and moves it away from the boy (we see char on the rock where the boy had been after the dragon blew fire).
► A dragon is strapped to a ship, the ship is attacked and sinks, and the dragon sinks under water and cannot get free; a teen boy tries to free it but is unable before losing consciousness (he is pulled out of the water and the dragon is freed). A teen boy is flung off the back of a flying dragon, and he lands on the head of another dragon and pounds it in the eye with a rock (we see the eye close).
► Two dragons fight, and one is tackled by many men and held on the ground. A dragon chases several teens and shoots spikes at them, and one teen throws an ax at the dragon (we do not see the dragon injured). A dragon lunges toward a teen boy, pins him against a large rock and roars loudly before flying away. A dragon chases a teen boy and a man punches and kicks the dragon repeatedly until it flies away. A man is grabbed in a dragon's mouth, he yells and fights using his sword and is eventually freed. A dragon chases a teen girl, picks her up, flies with her while she's screaming, and drops her in the branches of a very tall tree (she's unharmed).
► A teen boy approaches a wounded dragon tied up with ropes, the dragon snorts and moans, the boy raises a dagger over its heart and says, "I'm going to kill you and cut out your heart" (he does not).
► A sheep is snatched off the ground and taken away by a large flying dragon. We see dragons flying and holding nets filled with livestock in their claws. A large dragon blows fire on a small dragon that appears charred, it puffs smoke and falls to the ground.
► A teen boy releases a catapult and a dragon is struck and falls to the ground. A teen boy releases a catapult that throws a rock and strikes a man in the head (he moans and falls to the ground). A teen boy is struck in the face by a tree branch (he moans but is OK). A dragon swats a boy with a branch (he is OK). A large flaming cauldron rolls down a path and forces people to jump out of its way.
► We see several "dragon training classes," where teens learn how to kill dragons using axes and swords. A man gives a teen boy a large ax, which is too big for him to lift. During a training class, we see drawings of assorted dragons and their methods of inflicting fatal wounds on people (heads being blown off, blowing fire, etc.). A teen girl practices throwing axes into a tree (we hear loud thuds with each strike).
► A teen boy falls off the back of a flying dragon, they both spin out of control, the boy climbs back on the dragon, they stabilize and the dragon smacks the boy in the face with its ear. A teen girl falls off the back of a flying dragon and is caught by another dragon (she's OK). A teen boy riding on the back of a dragon crashes into rocks a couple of times (neither is harmed). A teen boy and a teen girl ride on the back of a flying dragon are the girl appears frightened. A teen boy rides on a dragon's back several times. A teen boy holds onto a dragon's tail as it flies high in the air and the dragon flings the boy into water below.
► Many Vikings load weapons on ships and set sail and when they arrive at their destination they disembark and charge into a cave with weapons drawn. Large ships filled with Vikings approach an island covered with thick fog where it is thought that dragons live. A teen girl punches a teen boy in the arm a few times.
► A small dragon jumps on top of a teen boy and nibbles on his nose (we see his reddened nose later). A dragon flies toward a teen boy, it tries to climb up rocks, it falls and flies erratically. A teen boy touches a dragon gently and the dragon snorts and runs away.
► A teen boy holds out a fish toward a dragon, the dragon approaches cautiously, it sprouts many teeth, grabs the fish, and then spits up half of it, covered with slime, into the boy's lap and waits for him to eat it; the boy does reluctantly (he gags and swallows a bite). A dragon eats its way through a large pile of dead fish and recoils when it sees an eel in the assortment. Many dragons fly through thick fog and gather inside a large cave where fish is dropped into a gaping hole.
► A teen boy wakes up from having been unconscious and we see that he has lost his leg from the knee down (he has an artificial leg). A man talks about a dragon biting off his hand (we see that he has an artificial arm).
► A man throws his teen son on the ground and tells him, "You are not my son." A teen girl yells at a teen boy. A teen girl with an ax sharpens it and yells at a boy.
► A man talks about the feeling of "mounting a [dragon] head on a spear for the first time" and "smelling a dragon's guts." A man talks about "popping a dragon's head clean off." During a dragon training class, a man says, "You will kill dragons." A teen says, "It's only fun if you get a scar out of it." A teen boy says, "The gods hate me." A teen boy says, "Why read when we can just go kill the stuff we're reading about?"
► We see a village perched on the side of a craggy mountain and hear a teen boy talking about living in misery and fearing dragon attacks.
