SEX/NUDITY 1 - A man touches a woman's face and it is unclear what his intentions are. A man seems smitten with a woman and is urged on by his family to speak to her, but he does not. A woman flirts with a man in a joking manner.
Two women wearing shorts and sport bras box (we see cleavage, abdomens, bare shoulders, backs and legs). A woman is shown wearing a tank top that reveals cleavage, upper chest, shoulders and upper back through much of the film. A woman's tank top rises and we see a bit of her bare abdomen and bare back to the waistband of her pants. We see a woman's bare abdomen as a wound is stitched up (please see the Violence/Gore category for more details).

VIOLENCE/GORE 6 - An elderly man coughs and holds his chest as he falls to the ground; gunmen order him to get back to work and another man shoots the man (we see blood on his clothing) and later another gunman kicks the dead body down a hill. A man is shot in the shoulder (we see blood on his shirt). A man is shot in the leg (we do not see the wound). We hear rumbling in a dark cave and spears shoot up, out of the floor impaling one man and he falls dead (no blood is shown). Two men fight (one is shown with darkened veins and boils) and one shoots the other (he falls dead).
A man hits a gunman with a shovel and a woman runs while being shot at by other gunmen, she walks across a fallen tree over a rapid moving river, and then falls in and is carried toward a waterfall; she grabs onto a wing of a fallen plane and pulls herself up, the wing breaks off and she jumps to the fuselage before it tips and breaks apart, dropping her toward the waterfall and she dangles from a parachute, slams through trees and crashes to the ground where we see her with a shard of something sticking out of her side (a bit of blood is shown) and she yells when she pulls the shard out.
Spinning blades move through a passage way and a woman dodges them as they pass; a man is struck by one set of blades and falls dead (we do not see the result). A woman with a bow and arrows moves quietly through a jungle camp and shoots a man in the chest, other men shoot at her and a group of enslaved workers, and we see several people struck (blood splatters) and several men are thrown when an explosive is launched. A woman slashes a man with a blade and he chases her; she hides in a cubicle with a skeleton and accidentally breaks a bone making a noise that the man follows to find her.
A man and a woman fight with many body punches landing and kicks and wrestling and choking moves: the man pins the woman to the ground and holds a blade to her neck and she presses an infected mummified severed finger into his mouth and punches him causing his face to develop darkened veins and his teeth turn black; she then kicks him in the head and down a pit and into a pile of human skeletons. A woman awakens and a man grabs her from behind around the neck, they wrestle and fight, he tries to shoot her, she holds him in a head lock, she hits him in the head with a rock, he holds her down and she flips him and forces his face into water where he drowns. A man with a gun points it at a woman and cocks it, and then lowers it. Three teen boys steal a woman's backpack and run away; she chases and they jump across boats in a river, they knock people into the water, she runs through a restaurant (knocking a server with many plates of food down), tackles the teen with her bag, she holds him in a chokehold and then shoves him to the ground; he pulls a knife and threatens to cut out her tongue and she runs and swings from a chain crashing hard onto a dock, she continues to run onto the deck of a boat where a man fires a gun into the air scaring the teens away. A man is struck in the head with a gun and he falls to his knees, he is then struck in the face and a gun is held to his head as a woman holds a bow and arrow toward the gunman.
A man's hand turns black and develops boils as he screams and holds his arm; we see an infection moving through his veins and darkening his skin; he gags and gasps as he thrashes and fires his gun in the air and hits another man (accidentally) before another man shoots him (he twitches and dies).
A woman and several men are trapped when two large round stones close them into an area where the floor falls away beneath their feet; the woman attempts to solve a puzzle that will free them and when she does they continue through a dark cave.
A infected man sets up explosives that will kill him and destroy a cave. A large explosion causes a large cave to crumble and a woman in it runs and dodges falling debris to get to the outside; the entrance is covered with large rocks and it is uncovered to free the woman who is covered with dust and a few bloody cuts. A woman on a boat awakens to loud thunder and raging waves; she and a man driving the vessel struggle to get off the ship as it is repeatedly slammed into large rocks surrounding an island, and the woman reaches the shoreline and is struck by someone on the back of the head (she awakens later in a hut and we see a bit of blood on her hand after she touches her head).
A man stitches up a wound on a woman's abdomen with a curved needle and we see it pierce and drag through the flesh as she whimpers and she punches him in the arm when he presses something against the stitched up wound. A man with a cutting device removes the mummified finger of a body and places it in a bag (we hear a crunch as the finger breaks off). We see a large pile of human skeletons in a dark cave and it is referred to as the "chasm of souls." We see a human skeleton in a dark cave and spiders crawl out of its mouth and eye sockets. We see many human skeletons in cubicles in a cave and we understand that the people committed ritual suicide. A body in a coffin decays as soon as the lid is removed, and it sits up quickly startling people around it (it was a mechanism in the coffin).
A woman on a bicycle is chased through crowded city streets by other cyclists; she speeds along sidewalks and through cafes, she jumps onto the back of a truck, and one chase bike crashes into a bench before the lead cyclist crashes into a police car and splatters a paint can strapped to the bike on the car's windshield (we see the woman in the police station later). A woman chases a man up a sheer rock wall and into a cave where he talks to himself and appears unhinged. Several people walk across a ladder spanning a chasm filled with human skeletons.
Men and a woman are bound and forced to walk and move a camp across an island by armed men. A man falls off an observation deck of a boat and onto a lower deck (he is drunk and unharmed). A woman puts a drunk and unconscious man into a shower and sprays him with water to revive him; she then sprays him threateningly while asking him questions. Two women box and we see punches and kicks land; one is held in a chokehold until her face turns red and she taps out. A woman tips a cup of coffee off a ledge and it spills on a man's shirt.
There is loud rumbling and clanging as a stone wall crumbles and opens to reveal a cave entrance. We hear loud explosions in a few scenes and see men blowing up rock covered areas of an island. A woman presses on a letter inscribed on a tomb wall.
A man tells a woman when she asks about her father, "He's with God now. I killed him." We hear about a legend of a Japanese Queen who "spread death and destructions." After a lost boxing match a woman teases another woman and says, "I'll marmalize you." A man tells his young daughter that when her mother died, he tried to make the supernatural real to keep her close to him. A woman is asked to sign papers that declare her father to be dead. A man tells a woman, "Death is not an adventure." A man says that another man killed his father.
A teen girl takes target practices with a bow and arrows. A man is shown with a gun on his belt.

CAVEATS

Be aware that while we do our best to avoid spoilers it is impossible to disguise all details and some may reveal crucial plot elements.

We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and older reviews are not as complete & accurate as recent ones; we plan to revisit and correct older reviews as resources and time permits.

Our ratings and reviews are based on the theatrically-released versions of films; on video there are often Unrated, Special, Director's Cut or Extended versions, (usually accurately labelled but sometimes mislabeled) released that contain additional content, which we did not review.
