VIOLENCE/GORE 6 - An Eskimo boy is shown eating a seal's raw heart, after killing it. There's a scuffle between a boy and a girl, with some punching and shoving. A man hacks off the arm of one of two men who are found dead and frozen in the Arctic ice. Since the arm is frozen there's no blood. There are scenes of aerial bombing, with dead, bloody soldiers and burning buildings. Two people are drowned in frigid waters.
LANGUAGE 5 - 4 F-words and just a few other scatological terms used.
DISCUSSION TOPICS - Lifelong love, violent death, tradition vs. modernity, racism, disease, alcoholism.
MESSAGE - Don't run from your feelings, be proud of your heritage. The world can often be a cruel place.
