Wicked: For Good VIOLENCE/GORE 4
– A woman becomes upset when a man says that he has lost his heart to another woman; she performs a magic spell that causes him to actually lose his heart and we hear a heartbeat and crunching sound coming from his chest as he groans and holds his chest; we then see him covered in metal and carrying an axe that he uses to break through a door. A woman causes a change in the weather and we see dark storm clouds cover the sky with lightning flashing and tornado funnel clouds swirling into a town; a house is thrown through the air and crashes onto a woman killing her. A soldier holds a gun on a woman and a witch flies away followed by flying monkeys; the soldier is struck on the back of the head and grabbed by other soldiers, he is beaten (we see him with bloody abrasions on his face) and kicked while on the ground and tied to a post where we see him slumped over and motionless. A woman hides in a closet as a girl throws water on a witch (we see the witch melt in a silhouette on the wall as she screams) and the woman cries.
► A soldier threatens a witch with a gun and she presses her broom against a man’s throat; the soldier then holds the gun on the man and locks him in a cage. Many soldiers on horseback charge toward a forest searching for a witch while flying monkeys fly through the air carrying nets; one monkey crashes into a tree and another is wrapped in a net and rolls on the ground. A witch sends flying monkeys to find a girl and we see them carrying her in the air as she screams. Several large animals are chained to machinery that is laying bricks to create a road and one is struck by a soldier when it is not moving fast enough and it falls down, others break free of their chains and a witch flies overhead shooting blasts of energy and fights with other soldiers, swatting them with her broom and throwing them through the air (one soldier ends up on the ground and paint is dumped on her); many large winged monkeys approach and the witch flies away. A soldier points a weapon into a dark forest when searching for a witch, but does not fire. A witch discovers a dark room where many animals are held in cages; a man tells her that “some animals cannot be trusted,” and she breaks the locks and chains, setting them free as the man runs away and falls on a flight of stairs. A woman becomes very upset when she thinks a man and a witch are in love. A woman slaps a witch in the face and she slaps her back, they fight using a broomstick and a wand like swords and one tackles the other to the ground. A woman puts on a cloak and rides a horse through a dark forest. A monkey hands a sleeve from a uniform to a witch and it is implied that the soldier it belonged to is dead. A straw effigy of a witch is set on fire and burns while people cheer that a witch is dead.
► A woman prepares a directive that all animals need a permit to travel and later adds Munchkins to that order; we see people being forcibly removed from trains and told to return to town. Many animals move through a forest and make their way through a tunnel to escape a town. A witch slams her fist on a table in frustration. A lion appears terrified and talks about having been taken by a witch when he was just a cub. We see the reflection of a witch in a mirror and the glass cracks. A woman speaks to a younger woman threateningly and tells her to “shut-up.” A hot air balloon with a man inside lifts off the ground and takes him away as people crowd around and chant. A woman threatens to put another woman in a cage and two flying monkeys take her away as she screams.
► A man tries to convince a woman to leave a town and she resists; they argue about her being unable to resist the adulation she receives from the townspeople. A young girl receives a wand for her birthday and tries to make something magic happen, but cannot, and when a rainbow appears in the sky, she takes credit for it when asked if she did it. A witch says that her father hated her. People blame a witch for many bad things that happen.
► A woman yells, “She wants to kill us all” in several scenes. A woman tells a man, “I will fight you ’til the day I die.” A character tells a witch, “No one in Oz will be happy until you’re dead.” Song lyrics sung by many townspeople in several scenes include phrases about doing away with a witch, like, “She will be eliminated,” “Kill the witch,” and “Where will she strike next?” A witch writes in a cloud, “The wizard lies,” and the words are changed to “Oz dies.” A man tells a woman that he loves another woman and the woman becomes furious. A woman cries deeply when she finds out that her fiancé loves someone else. A woman sings about living in a dream and that it’s time for her bubble to pop.
► A giant metallic head moves its glowing eyes and speaks with a deep, booming voice. A witch is shown with green-tinged flesh and very long nails. Several mechanical eyes blink in a wizard’s workroom and we see a headless mannequin with a hole in its chest. A woman falls against a cake and we see her covered with frosting as a frog nearby flicks its long tongue into her face.
