In the next chapter of the Jurassic saga, a mission is being commissioned by a pharmaceutical company to retrieve samples from dinosaurs on a remote, supposedly off-limits island, and the expedition participants are unaware of the challenges they will encounter and the choices they will have to make. With Scarlett Johansson, Jonathan Bailey, Rupert Friend, Mahershala Ali, Ed Skrein, Manuel Garcia-Rulfo, Luna Blaise, David Iacono and Niamh Finlay. Directed by Gareth Edwards. Several lines of dialogue are spoken in French with subtitles. [Running Time: 2:14]
Jurassic World: Rebirth SEX/NUDITY 1
– Two dinosaurs seem to be snuggling and hugging, and they touch noses briefly as their long tails flip around them.
► A young man is shown shirtless in several scenes (his bare chest, abdomen and back are seen). Women wear tank tops that reveal cleavage and bare shoulders in several scenes. Harnesses worn by men while rappelling accentuate their crotch areas.
Jurassic World: Rebirth VIOLENCE/GORE 5
– A containment breach occurs in a laboratory and people scramble to get out when a dinosaur gets loose; one man is trapped inside and we see a giant dinosaur grab him and he disappears in its mouth as a woman outside watches and screams. A woman pulling supplies onshore is grabbed by a large sea creature and pulled into the water as she screams and others onshore call her name (we see blood in the water).
► A man is picked up by a dinosaur and chewed up; we see him in the dinosaur’s mouth and his severed arm falls to the ground (we see blood and tissue). A boat is surrounded by sea creatures and they circle; we hear that these creatures hunt for a larger creature, a man onboard shoots at the creature and one grabs him and pulls him off the boat (we see some blood), the boat tips and passengers slide across the deck, a young girl goes over the side and a man grabs her (his leg snaps when he does so and he limps through the rest of the movie). People prepare to rappel down a sheer cliff to a cave where they find a nest filled with eggs; they are attacked by a dinosaur when it finds them inside and snaps and pecks at them, a man falls over the cliff when the dinosaur pulls his rope and crashes into water below (he is OK); another man calls for help to be pulled back up and the dinosaur snaps at his feet and grabs him taking him away in its beak (we see the man disappearing into the dinosaur’s beak). A helicopter circles overhead and is snapped out of the air by a giant dinosaur; it throws it through the air and it crashes to the ground and explodes.
► A man and three young people are sailing in a sailboat in a large expanse of sea; several large sea creatures approach the boat and one bumps the side (the man drops over the side by a rope to examine the damage), they are bumped again and a giant sea creature pushes the boat on its side, and it eventually capsizes trapping the young man inside (we see water filling the cabin and he eventually gets out). A young man swims toward a capsized sailboat as he is being chased by a very large sea creature (he climbs on the boat hull safely). A giant sea creature bumps a boat in the water, it swims next to the boat and a woman prepares a gun with a dart and extraction vial, the creature bumps the boat and knocks the woman off her perch and over the side of the boat (she is tethered), she climbs back up and shoots, hitting the creature, the vial fills with blood, and then shoots into the air. A large sea creature bumps a boat and pushes it against a sheer rock wall; it eventually sails onto land and crashes into more rocks. A young woman walks through water to retrieve a boat, a large dinosaur sleeps nearby and it chases her and three others as they try to paddle away in the water when it wakes up; the dinosaur goes underwater and tips the boat over spilling the people into the water and leaving a young girl underneath the boat, and it picks the boat up in its jaws and bites it causing the others to think the child has been killed (she has not); she swims away and the dinosaur snaps at her but gets its large head stuck between two rocks and pulls away (the girl has a scratch on her cheek but is otherwise unharmed). A dinosaur roars and threatens a young girl until a man lights a flare and distracts it leading it away; we hear the man yell and the dinosaur roars and we think the man is killed, but we see him OK later. A woman shoots a dinosaur several times and it falls dead (we see bloody wounds).
► A young woman on a boat tries to call for help and a man stops her, they argue and the boat tips causing the young woman to fall through a door and out on the deck; she clings on as the man watches and lets her fall into the water, and a young man dives into the water after her (they are OK later). A young man urinates in a jungle (we hear the stream) and spits (we see saliva), as two winged dinosaurs approach him, another dinosaur pounces on one of them and flies away with it after we hear slashing and crunching and the young man quivers in fear; he then continues to urinate after the dinosaurs leave. A young woman accuses a man of trying to kill her and he draws a gun. People walk through water and a woman says that she feels something move around her legs (we see eel-like creatures). A small dinosaur snarls when a young girl pulls a stick away from it. A young girl feeds a small dinosaur and puts it in her backpack to take with her. A young man uses a stick to hack foliage in a jungle and something large moves in the distance. A man finds dog tags in a stream and when he looks up we see a crashed helicopter in a tree with a decayed body holding a gun (the man retrieves the gun). Four people fall over a cliff and land in a pile of leaves where they are alarmed by a smell; we see a dead and decaying dinosaur in the distance (ribs and intestines are exposed). People walk through an abandoned village as lights and music come on; many dinosaurs arrive and people run and hide; a woman hides under a vehicle and a man shoots at one dinosaur but misses; he gets into the car and speeds away, leaving the woman behind. A young girl in a store hides inside the refrigerator section as a dinosaur presses its nose against the glass and snarls (we see its large sharp teeth). A man in a vehicle swerves to avoid hitting a dinosaur, he stops and the vehicle is stepped on by a dinosaur throwing the man out.
► People on a boat argue about receiving a mayday call and going to rescue the people stranded at sea. A character says, “You go there, you die.” A man tells another man when preparing to rappel down a sheer wall, “If you fall, you die.” A woman says, “Try not to die.” People talk about coronary disease causing death. A woman discusses the death of a friend from a car bomb. A woman discusses missing her mother’s funeral. A man talks about his young son (it is implied that he died) and that his relationship with his wife has broken up. A young man balks at taking his turn at the wheel on a sailboat saying that he is so tired; a man seems disappointed in his behavior. A man says that a dinosaur is an herbivore, but the things that hunt them are not. A man talks about experimentation done on an island with cross breeding dinosaurs. A man says that he wants to die in the sea and be covered with silt because it would be the best chance of being fossilized. A man argues that a drug should be open-sourced to be able to help all people, not just the rich. A young man and a young girl hyperventilate and the girl says, “I think I’m gonna be sick” (she does not get sick).
► We hear low bellowing and see many large dinosaurs moving together through a valley. A large dinosaur blocks traffic in a city when it collapses on the street and appears ill and unable to move. A large salamander-like creature slithers down a tree. An animated sequence shows dinosaurs dying. A fishing vessel unloads a net filled with fish and one very large fish head (we see blood and matter). We see a laboratory setting with people wearing protective uniforms and large dinosaurs held in containment pods. Large dinosaur skeletons are shown in a museum setting.

CAVEATS
Be aware that while we do our best to avoid spoilers it is impossible to disguise all details and some may reveal crucial plot elements.
We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and older reviews are not as complete & accurate as recent ones; we plan to revisit and correct older reviews as resources and time permits.
Our ratings and reviews are based on the theatrically-released versions of films; on video there are often Unrated, Special, Director's Cut or Extended versions, (usually accurately labelled but sometimes mislabeled) released that contain additional content, which we did not review.
