Why is “My Old Ass” rated R? The MPAA rating has been assigned for “language throughout, drug use and sexual material.” The Kids-In-Mind.com evaluation includes several implied sex scenes between two young women and a young woman and a young man, non-sexual partial nudity, discussions of sexual attraction and desire, discussions of love, a few scenes of near accidents on a small boat, discussions of death and dying, discussions of leaving home, several arguments, two scenes of young women drinking a hallucinogenic mushroom tea and showing the effects, and over 70 F-words and other strong language.  – Two young women lie on top of each other in a small boat and kiss passionately while one makes a remark about hooking up in a boat and caresses the other’s clothed breast; they are shown sleeping under blankets later and we see their bare shoulders, cleavage and legs to the knees (sex is implied). Two young women flirt and kiss passionately (sex is implied). A young woman tells a young man that she is gay, they kiss passionately, she lies on top of him and he caresses her clothed buttocks as she tells him that she has never had sex with a man before (sex is implied). A young woman has a dream that she and a young woman are kissing, and then she and a young man are kissing and the young man moves below the frame (implying oral sex) as she wakes with a start.
► A young woman asks a woman (her older self) if they can kiss, the older woman says no, they talk about it not being sexual, they kiss briefly and the young woman says, “That was [F-word deleted] hot.” Two young women kiss passionately in several scenes. A young man and a young woman in a small boat nearly crash into a low-clearance bridge, the young man lies on top of the young woman to avoid hitting the bridge and they kiss.
► A woman tells a young woman not to have sex with a young man. A young woman imagines being a singer singing a romantic song. A young woman asks a woman (her older self) if she can touch her clothed buttocks (she does not do so). A young woman panics when a young man surfaces from under water near where she is swimming nude (we see her bare shoulders); she tells him to move away and not look at her. ► A young woman talks about being interested in another young woman and that she has to “shoot my shot” before she leaves for college. A young woman says that she is gay and later wonders if she is bi or pan. A young woman tells a woman that her “[anatomical term deleted] are saggy.” A woman tells a young woman that one of her breasts is smaller than the other.
► A young woman undresses to swim in a lake and we see her bare back, buttocks and legs. A woman lifts her top to reveal her bare abdomen and a scar on her ribs. A woman shows her bare foot that is missing a toe. A boy is seen wearing swim trunks and his bare chest, abdomen and legs are shown. A young woman wears a cropped top that reveals her bare abdomen in a few scenes. A young woman sits on a toilet with her pants pulled down to her knees (we see part of her thighs). Three young women squat and urinate and we see the urine stream from between their legs (no nudity is evident).

My Old Ass VIOLENCE/GORE 2

 – A young woman driving a small boat bumps into another boat and a dock a few times startling the two other people in the boat. While driving a small boat, the motor falls off the back and sinks into a lake leaving the two passengers without propulsion as a storm approaches. Three young women camping on a small island hear a noise in the woods and worry that it could be a bear. A young man and a young woman in a small boat nearly crash into a low-clearance bridge and the young man lies on top of the young woman to avoid hitting the bridge.
► A young woman asks a woman if her mother is dead (she is not). We hear that a person dies. A young woman worries about her friendship with two other young women changing if someone says something while they are all under the influence of a drug. We hear an air raid siren over the phone and a woman yelling “basement” (we do not hear what is happening). A woman says, “Nobody is allowed to have 3 kids anymore.” A woman tells a young woman that at a certain point in life, you stop worrying about whether people like you. A young woman makes a throat-slashing gesture toward a young man. A young woman becomes sad when she thinks that when she leaves home, she will be saying goodbye to some things “forever.” A woman tells her daughter that she was a terrible sleeper when she was a toddler, but that she missed rocking her when she finally learned how to settle herself. A reference is made to “gagging” (there is no sound or vomiting).
► A young woman screams and surfaces after seeing something underwater that scares her; a young man pulls up a piece of a plant and pretends he is wrestling with a beast to save her. A young woman panics when she hears a woman’s voice over the phone and she throws her phone into a lake (we see her putting the phone in a bowl of rice later). A young woman panics when a woman sits next to her on a log on a remote island seemingly appearing out of nowhere. A woman shows her bare foot that is missing a toe. A woman lifts her top to reveal her bare abdomen and a scar on her ribs that she recalls coming from falling into a fence when she was young. While under the influence of a drug, a young woman holds a wild rabbit and kisses it, and another young woman dances and howls like a wolf.
