"One of the 50 Coolest Websites...they simply tell it like it is" - TIME
Minority Report | 2002 | PG-13 | - 5.6.5
Steven Spielberg film, based on a short story by Philip K. Dick. Set in 2054, criminals are no longer arrested and tried after they commit a murder. Instead, using "psychic" technology, precops working for the Precrime Unit predict murderous acts and arrest citizens before the crime is committed. Tom Cruise is one such precop, who suddenly finds himself accused of the impending murder of a man he's never met and doesn't even know. Also with Colin Farrell, Samantha Morton, Peter Stormare and Max Von Sydow. [2:23]
SEX/NUDITY 5 - A man and woman kiss passionately several times -- we see this scene more than once and different aspects of it are played out: one time they fall back onto a bed and the woman's husband is sitting on the side of the bed, undetected by the couple. We see a man in a "virtual reality" unit with an image of a woman on top of him moving rhythmically, presumably simulating sex. A man and woman hug. A woman dances seductively on a computer screen. An older woman kisses a younger man, and an older woman grabs a younger man's buttock. A woman wears a skin-tight suit that exposes the outline of her nipples. A woman wears a nightgown (we see cleavage) and robe in a video and invites a man to come to bed (presumably to have sex). We hear a toilet flush and see the silhouette of a woman, through an opaque tarp, standing up and pulling up her pants. We see a quick flash of a woman's face as she's presumably having sex (we see her shoulders and we hear moaning). A man talks about having been in prison and makes an allusion to forced homosexual sex. A man talks about the different options available in a virtual reality store and describes sexual choices (having sex as a man, more than one woman, etc.). We see a swimming pool scene where people are wearing swimsuits.

VIOLENCE/GORE 6 - A man relates to another man the details of how he murdered his young son. A man stabs another man in the back with a pair of scissors; he follows, continuing to stab him as he crawls away and falls into a bathtub. A man stabs a woman in the chest with a pair of scissors (we see a bloody spot on her chest). A man is shot and falls back through a glass window; we see this scene again, and blood pours from the bullet hole. A man is shot in the chest, blood seeps and spreads on his white shirt, and he is shot again at close range (we just see his body lurch). A man is shot in the abdomen and another man shoots himself in the abdomen. A man takes off his glasses and we can see inside his eye sockets (the eyes are missing). "Precogs" (they are depicted as psychic persons) float in a pool of liquid, with equipment that looks like fiber optic head gear attached to their heads; they are kept on dopamine, which keeps them from being "too conscious," and they shake and shutter when they have visions of a crime. We see several murder scenes in fragmented images from the Precogs' perspective: people are shown screaming, gasping, pleading, running from their killers, drowning, being shot, and we hear some details of the murders. A man is chased by officers wearing "flypacks" and armed with zap sticks: They surround him, he climbs up a fire escape, they follow, he falls on one and they fly close to the ground, then up through a garbage tube (which catches on fire), then they crash into an apartment, and through the ceiling which is the floor of another apartment. A man is strapped into a head-restraining device, his eyes are pried open and metal clamps are applied to keep the eyes open (he is being prepped for eyeball removal and replacement). We see two bloody eyeballs in a plastic bag several times: one time a man opens the bag and the eyeballs fall out, roll down a hallway and into a grate but he catches one by a slimy strand. A man is chased by men into a factory: the men shoot at him, the man hangs from moving machinery, lands on a moving platform and fights with another man high in the air (one man spits out blood and has a bloody nose), they both end up on a conveyor belt dodging crushing arms, and huge screwdriver-like devices. A man punches another man repeatedly and points a gun at him. A man slams a man against a wall and holds a gun to him, a man slams another man to the ground, and a man threatens a man with a gun. People talk about a boy's abduction and death. A man grabs another man's hand and slams it through a window, breaking the glass. A man wakes up screaming in agony after dreaming about his son's abduction. A woman grabs at a man in fear. A man climbs over a stone wall and vines become animated and grab at him (one slashes him on the neck and it is apparently poisonous). We see mechanical spiders that crawl through a building scanning the eyes of the occupants for identification: one spider peers under a bandage on a man's eyes and we see a discolored bruised eye. A man injects himself with a drug that makes his face become disfigured (he yells and grimaces in pain). A man talks about another man having "swapped out his eyes," a man talks about another man having set his patients on fire, a man is zapped in the throat and vomits (we see the goo and hear him gagging), and people talk about removing their eyes completely. A man flushes himself and a woman down a large drain. A man climbs out of a speeding car and jumps onto another speeding car, then another, then jumps off the car crashing through a trellis and landing hard on the ground. A man is injected in the arm. We see a bed covered with photographs of young people and it is presumed that they are all victims of abduction and possibly murder. A man is shot several times on a TV screen. A man sneezes and a lot of mucus pours out of his nose, and we hear a toilet flush. A man (whose eyes are bandaged) takes a bite of a moldy sandwich, drinks from a bottle of stale milk (it's green) and spits it out in disgust.

SUBSTANCE USE - A man does drugs that he buys from a man on a street. An old woman is shown smoking a pipe. There are discussions of a drug called "neroine" and neroine addicted mothers who gave birth to babies with defects.
