SEX/NUDITY 3 - A man and woman kiss passionately. A woman kisses a man briefly in celebration, and a man kisses a woman briefly in celebration.
 We see a woman in her slip (nipples can be seen through the fabric). We see shirtless men in a locker room and we see men in undershirts in a locker room.
 A man and a woman engage in flirtatious banter. A man and woman dance together and he places his hand on her waist.
 A man implies that a woman is a prostitute and that he should leave "$20 on the bed stand," and a woman implies that another woman is a prostitute. A man implies that a woman has a job only because her employer is sleeping with her, and a woman implies that a man only pays attention to her because she has "great legs" and the man confirms her belief. A woman accuses a man of paying attention to her because he wishes to "substitute her bosoms for his mother's bosoms." A woman implies that she is getting an assignment because she has the "best legs in the office," but her boss denies this claiming that her talent is the reason. A man jokes that he is in love with another man.

VIOLENCE/GORE 4 - There are several football game and practice scenes where football players are tackled by other football players (both individually and en masse, making a large pile), football players smash into each other on the line of scrimmage, a football player wrestles another football player to the ground, several football players slip in the mud and fall into each other, football players run head-on into each other, one football player is elbowed in the face, a football player clotheslines another player, and a football player wrestles another player to the ground
 Soldiers fire guns towards other soldiers. A policeman fires a gun in the air.
 A man bites another man's hand. Men fight in a bar: A man punches a man, a man bites a man's hand, a man hits a man on the head with a bar stool, a man hits a man on the head with a bottle, and several men wrestle and punch each other.
 A man punches another man in the face, knocking him down, and two men trade several blows to the face, each falling down. A man slams a door into two policemen's faces, knocking them unconscious. A man punches three men in the face, a man punches another man in the face, a man punches a man in the stomach, and a man hits a man over the head with a sign. Several men wrestle and punch each other and a man punches another man who falls unconscious.
 A man's sleeve catches fire and another man beats his arm with a coat. A man falls off the back of a motorcycle (he is uninjured). A man fires a starter pistol into the air.
 A football player kicks the ball into the stands, hitting a boy who is holding a tuba. A football player kicks a ball low, which strikes the rear end of a teammate.
 A man jokes about committing suicide. We see a photo of football players being tackled.
 A man spits.

LANGUAGE 4 - 4 scatological terms, 1 anatomical term, 1 mild obscenity, 6 derogatory terms for Germans, 6 religious profanities, 11 religious exclamations.

SUBSTANCE USE - Men and women are shown drinking alcohol from flasks several times, men and women are shown drinking alcohol at a restaurant, men and women are shown drinking alcohol at a speakeasy, a man appears drunk and violent, and a young boy holds a beer. Men and women are shown smoking throughout the movie, a young boy is shown smoking, and a man chews tobacco.

DISCUSSION TOPICS - Prohibition, jealousy, journalism, betrayal, lying, heroism, integrity, feminism, politicization of professional sports, fame, war, sportsmanship, cheating, sexism.

MESSAGE - Sometimes personal integrity must be subverted for the good of the community.
