Stealing Harvard | 2002 | PG-13 | - 4.4.5

Tom Green and Jason Lee star as best, yet totally incompatible, friends. The former is an under-achiever and determined to remain so, while the latter is practical and hard working, but needs $30,000 in order to pay for his niece's college tuition. Together they embark on a life of petty crime in an attempt to raise the money but their hare-brained schemes spin out of control. Also with Leslie Mann, Megan Mullally and Dennis Farina. [1:23]

SEX/NUDITY 4 - A man and woman are shown kissing passionately, first in bed, then in a shower (we see her bare back and part of his chest), then under a table and then with the woman pressed against a window while the man thrusts briefly from behind. A woman takes off her shirt (we see her bra), shoves a man onto a desk and they begin to kiss. A woman jumps on a man, wraps her legs around his waist and they kiss. A man and woman are in bed together and the man is lying on top of her kissing and nuzzling her neck. A man and woman lie in bed together and the man kisses the woman's neck. A man and woman hug in bed. A man and woman sleep in bed together (she's sleeping) and she's in her pajamas and he's in underwear. Three men drive through a bikini car wash where the attendants are women wearing bikinis. A woman wears tight, revealing outfits that expose cleavage, her bare legs, and her bare abdomen. A woman walks out of a room in a bra and panties (we see cleavage, bare abdomen and bare thighs) and covers herself with a short robe. A man walks out of a woman's bedroom fastening his pants, then the woman emerges clothed, then another man appears from the same room and finally another man sneaks out. Three different men (in three scenes) dress like a woman, and we see them lying in bed with a man (referred to as "spooning") who has a gun in his hand. A roomful of men watch women doing aerobics on television. A dog thrusts on a man's leg and there is a veiled suggestion that they may have been involved in a sex act. A man makes a reference to a woman having a "weird relationship with her father," a woman talks about her brother thinking that she's "sexually indiscrimminate trailer trash," a man talks about another man "rolling around naked," a man says "I am not gay" and "I am not homosexual," a man talks about having been the victim of a "fetish crime."

VIOLENCE/GORE 4 - A group of men rob a crowded bank with guns drawn, they get into the back of another man's car while pointing guns at the driver and passenger, the driver hits one of the gunmen with a steering wheel locking device and the man falls off the back of the car and lands on the ground (we see his bloody nose and later see a huge gash and a very bruised and swollen nose and eyes). Two men hold up a store and the young man behind the counter pulls a shotgun on them and fires, breaking the storefront glass and a large sign in the parking lot. A man slams another man's head on the hood of a car repeatedly, a man hits a man on the head with a fire extinguisher and the man passes out, two men punch each other in the face and they both fall on the floor, a woman punches a man in the face and he falls on the floor, a man kicks at another man, a man threatens another man with a leg brace, and a man yells at two men. A man holds a gun to a man's head (this happens in three scenes to three different men). A boy dangling from a harness holds a chain saw and cuts a limb off a tree which falls onto a parked car below shattering the window and denting the trunk. A young woman working in a meat locker wears a smock that is stained with blood and we see cow carcasses dangling all around her. A man burns another man on the back with a cigarette. A man falls through a window and we hear a thud, and we hear a man slide down a roof and land on the ground. A dog lunges at a man and grabs onto him, and the man drags the dog around dangling from his crotch, his leg, etc. A man runs across a dark street and is nearly hit by an oncoming car, and a van nearly hits a man kneeling in a parking lot. A man threatens another man several times. A man and a woman argue and call each other names. A man slams walkers, other objects and himself into a window trying to break it. A man slams a telephone receiver onto its cradle repeatedly. A missing cat is discovered hiding in a cupboad, with its head stuck in a jar (it appears unharmed). A man drives recklessly, running into garbage cans. Some gross-out scenes include: A man puts milk and lemon juice in his mouth, swishes it around and spits it out, a man heats up a brick of cheese and then eats the slimy, melted goo with his fingers, a man licks a used toothbrush, uses it to brush his mustache and beard and then another man tells him that he used the brush to clean his colon, and a man throws a piece of cheese at a woman. We see a mannequin of a human male that shows the skeletal structure and organs, there's a reference to animal cruelty, and there's a reference to jailhouse sex.

CAVEATS

Be aware that while we do our best to avoid spoilers it is impossible to disguise all details and some may reveal crucial plot elements.

We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and older reviews are not as complete & accurate as recent ones; we plan to revisit and correct older reviews as resources and time permits.

Our ratings and reviews are based on the theatrically-released versions of films; on video there are often Unrated, Special, Director's Cut or Extended versions, (usually accurately labelled but sometimes mislabeled) released that contain additional content, which we did not review.
