SEX/NUDITY 5 - A young man walks into a room and sees the back of a young woman as she is changing (the back of her bra is visible), they kiss, he suggests they get into bed together, and she is seen wearing only underpants and a bra as she kneels next to the young man, kissing him; she gets under the covers with the shirtless young man (we see a portion of his bare upper chest), says that she is not interested in having sex and they are seen the next morning lying side-by-side (the young man remarks that they did not have intercourse).
A young man is seen passionately kissing another young man. A young man and a young woman kiss on multiple occasions, including after the young man asks if they can "make out." A teenage girl kisses a young man twice. A teenage girl hugs a young man closely and kisses him while looking at another young man. A young woman says that while she was "making out" with a young woman she would touch her leg suggestively and tells a young man to do the same.
A young man kisses a teenage girl on the cheek. A teenage girl and a young man hug on multiple occasions. A young man and a teenage girl hold hands while walking. A young woman reaches for the hand of a young man and pulls it to her chest. A young man looks suggestively at another young man.
Three young men are seen lying in bed together, and four young men are seen lying in bed together (in a non-sexual way); one of them stands up and we see he is wearing boxers and a T-shirt. A young woman is seen wearing a cleavage-exposing top on multiple occasions.
A young man turns on a light and we hear another young man shouting for him to turn off the light, that the young man might have seen another young man's genitals, and that the young man needs to leave so he can have sex with another young man (we do not see any nudity). A young woman explains to a young man that she has been "bi-curious" and dated a young woman. A young man asks another young man if he is talking about lesbians. A young man jokes that another young man is creepy for having a relationship with a teenage girl. A young man tells another young man that he had "gotten to second base" but does not elaborate, and a young man jokes with another young man that he might get to "second and a half base" but does not elaborate. A young man tells two young men that he has not had intercourse with a young woman or a teenage girl. A group of young adults discuss how a young man is dating a 17-year-old and he says that he has not kissed her, and they have only hugged once. A teenage girl tells a young man that she has never kisses a male and the young man jokes that he hasn't either.
A comic-book style drawing of a young woman kissing a young man is seen as a young woman narrates that she had kissed a young man when they were younger.

VIOLENCE/GORE 6 - A young man has a flaming sword sticking through his chest, he pulls it out, ninjas attack him, he uses the sword to cut them, he kicks and punches them, and their bodies explode into coins in the shape of a body on the ground.
A man draws a sword and he and a young man fight: the young man is slammed down a flight of stairs, he cuts the man's arm (we see a small patch of blood), the man stabs the young man in the back and it is implied that the young man has been killed (we see the word "dead" and an arrow pointing to the young man); the scene is replayed and the young man is seen swinging himself around and not being stabbed in the back, but instead cutting the man on the face (we see a cut with a small amount of blood).
A teenage girl attacks a young woman with two large knives and they fight: the young woman pushes the teenage girl using a microphone stand, and the teenage girl kicks the young woman in the head and sends her down a flight of stairs. A teenage boy stops a teenage girl from attacking a young woman with two large knives and all three fight a man, engaging in hand-to-hand combat until the man kicks the teenage girl in the back and she hangs off the edge of a stage; the young woman kicks the man in the crotch and the man kicks the young woman and she falls down a flight of stairs (we see her lying motionless).
A young man uses an unseen force to lift another young man off the ground, squeeze his neck and throw him through a wall; he then lifts him up and punches him, sending him flying through the air (he is airborne for over a minute) until he crashes into a pile of trash, and the two fight one another, with kicking and punching (the first young man continues to throw the other young man through walls and he lays in the rubble).
Two men rush through walls, point two laser guns at a young man and shoot him with a bolt of lightning: the young man falls to the ground and another young man head-butts him, causing him to explode into a shower of coins, as a group of people watch.
Two young women fight, one using a long, flexible whip-like sword and the other using a massive hammer: they throw their weapons at one another, they punch and kick, the young woman with the hammer has the weapon knocked out of her hands, and she grabs a young man and uses his hands to hit the other woman, who kicks the young man away and attacks him; they kick and punch one another, the young man falls to the ground, and just as the young woman is about to stomp her foot down, he touches the back of her knee, and she falls to the ground and explodes into a shower of coins as a group of people watch.
A man punches a young man in the face, picks him up and throws him through the air (the young man slams into a building and falls to the ground, hitting multiple layers of scaffolding on his way down); the young man then punches the man as several other men appear and begin to punch, kick and hit the young man, as well as break skateboards on his back (he is seen being punched in the face multiple times).
A young man is seen standing surrounded by the bodies of many attackers, he lunges at one man and they punch and kick one another, sending each other flying through the air until the man punches the young man in the face, knocking him back (the fight ends and the young man is seen unharmed).
A young man crashes through a wall, lands in front of another young man and they punch and kick each other as they flip through the air in the style of a comic-book: one of the young men is kicked in the face and knocked across the room, one punches the other's face rapidly (we see an animated "64 hits" pop up on the screen) and one floats in mid-air surrounded by floating women with fangs bared and shooting fireballs; one young man throws a cymbal at the other, lunges and punches him in the face, and we see the letters "KO" pop up on the screen as one young man explodes into a shower of coins (a large crowd watches and the other young man is unharmed).

Two young men and a young woman begin to play musical instruments and create a force that counteracts two massive shadowy dragons that two other young men create from a musical force: the two dragons knock two of the young men down, but they stand back up and play their instruments, until lightning bolts fly through the air and a massive shadowy gorilla is seen coming from their musical instruments and smashing the two dragons (as the two dragons disappear the two young man explode into a shower of coins).
A young woman zooms through the air as she attempts to kick a young man: the young man punches her in the chest, she shouts in pain and then bursts into flames and disappears. A young man pushes two men in the chest and they explode into a shower of coins.

A young man asks a young woman hypothetically if she would ignore the fact that he peed his pants but claimed it was rain. A young man tells a young woman that he feels like he is going to vomit.
A young man watches a video of a man holding a gun and shouting that he is going to kill a person. On two occasions, a young woman holds her hand up to her head in the shape of a gun and dramatically acts as if she is pulling the trigger and throws her head back as she makes an exploding noise. On a film set, a man is seen holding a gun to the head of a woman.
Two young men say they have to "pee" and we see one in the bathroom with a video-game bar next to his head saying "pee-meter": as the sound of urinating is heard, the meter decreases, and the young man then flushes the toilet and walks out of the bathroom. The word "pee" with an arrow pointing to a young man's crotch is seen.

CAVEATS

Be aware that while we do our best to avoid spoilers it is impossible to disguise all details and some may reveal crucial plot elements.

We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and older reviews are not as complete & accurate as recent ones; we plan to revisit and correct older reviews as resources and time permits.

Our ratings and reviews are based on the theatrically-released versions of films; on video there are often Unrated, Special, Director's Cut or Extended versions, (usually accurately labelled but sometimes mislabeled) released that contain additional content, which we did not review.
