A successful couple from San Francisco (Meagan Good and Michael Ealy) decides to relocate to a Napa Valley house in order to start a family in a congenial place. When they find what they think is the perfect spot, they don’t realize it comes with some very unsavory strings attached: the previous owner (Dennis Quaid) just can’t let go of the property. The Intruder SEX/NUDITY 5

 – A wife sits on a kitchen counter where her husband finds her and she unfastens the top of her overalls revealing her bare shoulder, bra and side; they kiss, she removes her overalls and we see her bare thigh, underwear, bare side, bra, cleavage and shoulders along with his bare chest and abdomen as they kiss passionately. A husband and his wife kiss, he is shown shirtless and we see his bare chest and side and she is wearing a sheer bodysuit that reveals cleavage and her bare leg to the hip as she straddles him and they continue to kiss (sex is implied; please see the Violence/Gore category for more details).
 A man carries an unconscious married woman up a flight of stairs, lays her on a bed and licks her clothed abdomen and bare cleavage and moves to kiss her as she awakens and struggles against him (please see the Violence/Gore category for more details). A woman kisses a married man and he tells her he cannot “do this” and leaves. A man and a woman kiss against a wall outside a bar. A husband and his wife kiss a few times in a party scene. A husband hugs his wife from behind and kisses her on the cheek. A husband and his wife snuggle on a chair and kiss outside a party and the woman’s dress opens at the side to reveal her bare leg to mid-thigh.
 A husband and his wife lie in bed together; she is sleeping. A husband and his wife snuggle in a hospital bed together. A husband carries his wife over the threshold of their new home. A man sits close to a woman and breathes in as if he is smelling her.
 A woman showers and we see her flesh through the glass with bare back and buttocks visible and her arm covers her breasts as a man stands in the hall watching and removes his shirt (we see his bare chest and shoulders). A man admires a married woman’s clothed buttocks. Women wear low-cut dresses and tops in many scenes throughout the movie that reveal deep cleavage, bare abdomens and backs. A woman lies in a tub of water and we see her bare shoulders, legs and cleavage. A woman wears a low-cut pair of overalls that reveal cleavage and part of her bare side. A woman wears a cropped sweater that reveals her bare abdomen and back. A woman wears a tight-fitting blouse that reveals cleavage. A woman wears a short robe that reveals her bare legs to the thighs. A man is shown shirtless and we see his bare shoulders, chest, abdomen and back.
 A married man makes a suggestive remark to a woman who is not his wife. A wife becomes upset with her husband for flirting with a server in a restaurant. A wife becomes upset with her husband after he texts her that he will be late and when she calls him she hears that he is at a bar (we understand that they have had issues with infidelity before). A woman describes an older man as “kinda hot.”

The Intruder VIOLENCE/GORE 6

 - A man grabs another man holding a knife from behind and they fight with a few punches to the face, one man is thrown over a railing and he crashes into a chandelier and lands hard on the floor where he moans and seems unconscious (we see blood on his head and face). A man chases a woman through a house, he holds her by the throat and tries to choke her, she slashes at him with a knife, he tries to kiss her and she punches him in the face and he throws her against a refrigerator and is knocked unconscious. A man holds a shotgun over another man and we hear a blast as the screen goes dark. A man stabs a knife through a locked door and breaks it open, a woman hits him over the head with a glass vase, he throws her on a bed and holds her around the throat, another man enters the room and the two men fight until one is stabbed in the back and crawls out of the room. A man is hit in the head with a baseball bat and we see a lot of blood spray out of his mouth and later we see him drooling blood and with blood on his face and in his mouth. A woman struggles to get a man away from her as he tries to kiss her, and he stuffs a cloth in her mouth and ties her hands and feet. A man slams an ax into another man's chest, and he gasps and falls to his knees (no blood is shown).
 A man jogs on a dark road and a pickup truck slams into him: he is knocked off the road and we see him in the hospital later (we understand that he has a concussion). A man imagines hitting another man over the head with a wine bottle and we see the victim with a bloody head. A man and a woman walk through a property while they consider buying it and they hear a gunshot; a man with a shotgun has shot a deer and takes a second point-blank shot at its head (we see blood on its head and nose and mouth); the man and woman back away in fear but stay. We see a woman holding a shotgun and hear a gun blast off-screen; we see her hand falling limp and splattered with blood.
  A man with a gun searches a house for two people hiding and shoots through each door as he goes. A man with an ax chases another man through dark woods and confronts him when he catches up to him. A man hears noises in his house at night and when security lights go on outside he carries a baseball bat outside; he hears the sound of teenagers in the woods as we see another man standing in the shadows and the first man goes back inside. A man hears creaking noises in a house and when he goes to investigate we see a glimpse of another man moving in the dark. A husband and his wife kiss and she straddles him on the floor (sex is implied) and we see a man standing in a dark hallway watching them.
 Two men with flashlights walk through dark woods, they find a car on a dark road and as they approach, and it speeds away. A sports car speeds along city streets and the passenger seems nervous when they arrive at their destination. A woman is startled when a man knocks on the door and rings the bell at night. A woman is startled when a man touches her on the shoulder in her home (she did not know he was there). A woman opens a closet door and falls through the opening to a lower floor (she holds her arm but seems uninjured).
 A dead man is shown in a freezer with blood on his chest and frost on his face. A man carries a dead deer of his shoulders (we see its bloody mouth), he hangs it up in a barn and uses a large knife to cut it open (we see him sawing with the knife, without blood or flesh visible).
 A man tells another man to get off his property. A man yells at another man for having a gun on his property. A man yells at another man about installing security lights on a house. A man says that he lost his wife to cancer. We hear that a woman committed suicide by putting a gun in her mouth (we see blood on wallpaper in the room where it supposedly happened). A man (he seems inebriated) confronts another man about the attention he is paying to his wife. We hear that a woman shot herself with a shotgun. A man talks about Foxglove and we are told that it is very poisonous. A man talks about hunting in the woods surrounding his house. We hear that a man's brother was shot and killed.
 A man urinates in the bushes outside a house (we hear the trickle). We see what looks like blood splatter stains on the wall of a room where we hear that a woman killed herself. A man finds a cigarette burn on the seat of his expensive car and becomes upset; he then speeds away. A man flicks a still lit cigarette into the woods outside a house. A man puts a cigarette out on a statue.
