In this sequel the previously defeated alien invaders amass larger, more technologically advanced forces and return to Earth. SEX/NUDITY 1 - A man and a woman are engaged and they kiss briefly twice and hug for several seconds once. An older man and an older woman kiss briefly. Two gay men hold hands briefly.
► A man stares at a woman and later asks if she would like to go have a drink and fall in love; she declines. A man tells a friend that a woman is his future wife. A man says that he feels pheromones rushing into his brain when he sees a woman. A small boy standing beside a school bus says the driver abandoned him and his classmates to be with his girlfriend.
► A man wearing a hospital gown with a back opening that reveals his briefs, walks away from the camera and scratches his behind.

VIOLENCE/GORE 6 - Aliens are large bipedal insectoids with short tentacles at the face and longer tentacles at the back of the head; they have a large hive with a queen that is hundreds of feet tall and has six legs instead of two, resembling a praying mantis with a crocodile mouth and tentacles at the back of the head and all the smaller creatures are twice human size, but wear additional scaly armor that looks like thick green-black skin and makes them larger.
► A man stabs a creature in the back and a smaller creature slides out of the skin (armor); the man chops off its head and we see some black and gray gore, and he kills two other creatures by stabbing them when they are just beyond the frame. Two men in an isolation chamber are attacked by an alien as agents shoot the alien from behind and kill it; one of the men inside the chamber lies on the floor, saying he is dying, and the other man cries (the injured man dies, but we see no injuries).
► In several aerial dog fight scenes, US and Chinese pilots fly fighters and scream as they shoot energy beams at alien fighters that shoot beams back and we see many planes on both sides burst into smoke and flames and fall off-screen, as well as a few charred planes falling to the ground. A man watches footage of a fighter plane as it flies into a cliff and explodes in flames and two men eject out of the vehicle.
► A man suffers PTSD and a mental disorder called Alien Residual Condition from an earlier alien invasion; we see him walk with a cane and he suffers psychic attacks from a tentacled insect-like alien queen and in a dream, he sees a mouth like a crocodile with large pointy teeth and two black arms with claws that have enlarged knuckles; he sits up screaming from the dream. We hear that many 20-something fighter pilots were orphaned in an alien attack. A man in a coma for 20 years sits up, screams and awakens. In many scenes, the camera cuts between several men in different places as they scream loudly with searing head pain from psychic attacks by aliens and grab their heads, grimacing. A man's arm is covered by tattooed rectangles representing aliens he killed. A man lies in a hospital bed with oxygen tubes at his nose, he twitches and wakes up, screaming.
► A wrecked alien mothership lies beside a large hole where aliens drilled into the Earth's core; inside the ship, soldiers find lights flashing and hear garbled SOS messages in an alien language. An alien ship drills into the ocean floor with a bright white-light energy drill and men in a freighter ship look frightened.
► The skies darken as a 3,000-mile-wide alien ship hovers over Earth, frightening people (it has a blackened, tar-like hull and levitates and destroys global landmarks); a freeway peels off the ground and into the sky in flames and smoke as people, cars, and crumbling buildings float into the sky; when the sky is full, the objects fall back toward cities, smashing them as the people in the sky are presumably dead after disappearing.
► An alien queen breaks the roof of a building and steals a different alien that is a white sphere in an isolation chamber as a man picks up a laser cannon and shoots and kills several smaller aliens; two fighter planes outside soar skyward as they use cold fusion drives for speed, then dive toward the queen, shooting laser cannons and the queen's armor splits open, she screams and gags, waves a pair of her slimy legs and falls over before crashing dead in front of a school bus spraying black gore all over the vehicle (a swarm of alien fighter planes crash all around the area in sparks and smoke). A woman on the top of a hospital building in the US disappears as the building collapses, but a mother and newborn baby are saved by a rotorless helicopter; the pilot sees the first woman falling away and becomes tearful. A man walks into an isolation chamber and a tall insectoid enters from the other side, strangling the man with a tentacle and slamming him to the floor before government agents shoot through the glass wall; the alien grabs a laser cannon and fires back, and another man stabs the creature in the back as we see black tubular organs fall to the floor; two dead soldiers lie in a corner, with a little blood on their chest.
► On the moon an energy weapon begins to fall and a space tug flies against it to stop its fall, with creaking and sparks. Light and electronic equipment flicker at a moon base and a blue whirling vortex opens in the sky. US officials argue about whether to shoot at an alien ship and they shoot an energy weapon with no effect, and then fire energy cannons that push the ship away from the moon; two men wearing spacesuits float on a shock wave, hit a US ship and finally enter it safely. An alien ship chews up a wide swath of the moon and shoots power beams at Earth that covers the planet (something like black and red glowing lava fills the skies and flows across the Earth, stopping at the White House). Thick smoke covers much of the ocean as a cylinder of light drills into the ocean floor, aiming at the core of the planet. Alien POWs are held at Area 51 and computer monitors flicker as a dormant alien awakens and stumbles around its cell.
► An African warlord and his army meet a scientist, shout, and brandish laser cannon rifles. We see pikes in the ground with several human skulls pushed down on them and human skulls litter the ground as well. A space tug ship carries men through a thick debris field of metal from an alien ship and we hear creaking and banging of metal parts. A man drives a school bus through wrecked cities, where debris from crumbled buildings covers sidewalks and parts of roads.
► A man tries to cut through a large space vehicle and breaks a saw; he tries laser cannons and other weapons, but nothing works until the vehicle splits in half and ejects a large white spherical object that floats; another man puts his hands on the object and they sink into the material temporarily as the object lights up and speaks with a teenage girl's voice saying that humans are primitive because they still have bodies, but that it wants humans to help fight other aliens that destroyed their planet.
► Humans steal alien fighters and destroy several alien-manned fighters by shooting energy beams and blowing them up. Human fighter ships enter an alien ship and find a murky blue environment; their ships crash, but they survive unharmed. A flying saucer is released to fly over the Earth and eventually crashes.
► A man piloting a plane filled with cold fusion bombs is guided into an alien ship by another pilot in a plane beside him; the man ignites the bombs and destroys an alien ship (we see rubble with glowing areas and they fill the screen on top of glaring white salt flats); smoke rises and a large queen alien rises from the rubble to stand several hundred feet tall and it chases a school bus of children driving across the salt flats and topples a long truck over and over towards the camera; it then shoots down a couple of fighter planes, using laser cannon beams and the planes crash in black smoke; a pilot ejects safely from a plane. Two planes fire laser cannons at a queen and a swarm of swirling alien ships encircle her as she stomps away. An angry woman shoots a handgun at a dead alien.
► The Malaysia Petronas towers fall, smashing London's Tower Bridge into the river, Dubai's Burj Khalifa shoots down from the lava filled sky and smashes the London Eye in bright explosions and flames, several cities suffer crumbling skylines and at sea freighters turn over and over as thick smoke and fire attacks them and we hear crashing. An alien ship fires huge laser cannons with large beams at the Cheyenne Mountain, killing several people and knocking out the power grid.
► A man says that aliens are planning an intergalactic war and we hear that his brother was killed as a child by aliens. A man tells another man that one kills the creatures from behind with machetes, which we see in close-up as he takes them from a box. We hear that the moon of Saturn disappeared. A woman says that her mother lived in London and is probably dead. A man in a plane asks, "Are we dead?" and another man says they are OK. Chattering insectoids in prison cells are said to be celebrating the destruction of Earth's cities. A US general asks all the people of Earth to pray in whatever custom they have in order to defeat the aliens. A man puts on a flight suit and announces that he will lead a squadron of fighters carrying cold fusion bombs to blow up an alien ship. Men in a desert see a black mothership lift off and they cheer in celebration.
► A middle-school aged girl drives a station wagon, taking two younger children out of the way of alien attacks. A small dog barks at a large alien and a little girl grabs the dog away, running to safety. Elderly men in a nursing home sleep in chairs as they wear oxygen tubes at their noses. A walker in a dimly lit room sits unused and a man sits in a wheelchair.
