"One of the 50 Coolest Websites...they simply tell it like it is" - TIME
From Dusk till Dawn | 1996 | R | - 6.10.10
George Clooney, Quentin Tarantino and Harvey Keitel get stuck in a bar that's full of vampires. Also with Juliette Lewis, Salma Hayek, Ernest Liu, Cheech Marin, Danny Trejo, Tom Savini, Fred Williamson, Michael Parks, Brenda Hillhouse, John Saxon, Marc Lawrence and Kelly Preston. [1:48]
SEX/NUDITY 6 - Sexual innuendo. A woman puts her foot in a man's mouth and he sucks on it. Women dance, gyrate and caress themselves suggestively with their buttocks and breasts showing. Most of the nudity is in the background but a few times breasts are clearly seen for extended periods.

VIOLENCE/GORE 10 - The gore and violence are relentless and explicit. Body parts are torn apart and we see heads and arms and legs rolling around, a vampire band plays guitar on a limbless body, several decapitated heads are still alive, a vampire's heart is ripped out and continues beating, a teenager is attacked by many vampires and we see them feeding on him (much blood). There are many vampires with hideous, deformed faces, vampires "melt" when they're killed, vampires explode and burst into flames, vampires suck people's necks (with lots of spurting blood). Two people are shot, one in the head with buckets of blood. A man has a hole shot through his hand: we see the bloody wound throughout the film. A hostage is killed and we see flashes of spattered blood and a bloody body. A man is set on fire. People are beaten up a few times (some blood).
LANGUAGE 10 - 50+ F-words, many anatomical references (very obscene), many scatological references, many mild obscenities and one racial epithet.
DISCUSSION TOPICS - Vampires, thievery, brotherhood, hostages, spiritual faith, running from the law.
MESSAGE - When all seems hopeless, you might still survive if you fight back.
CAVEATS
Be aware that while we do our best to avoid spoilers it is impossible to disguise all details and some may reveal crucial plot elements.
We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and older reviews are not as complete & accurate as recent ones; we plan to revisit and correct older reviews as resources and time permits.
Our ratings and reviews are based on the theatrically-released versions of films; on video there are often Unrated, Special, Director's Cut or Extended versions, (usually accurately labelled but sometimes mislabeled) released that contain additional content, which we did not review.
Mufasa: The Lion King - 1.4.2
Sonic the Hedgehog 3 - 1.3.3
The Piano Lesson - 3.5.4
Homestead - 1.5.4
