Follow-up to the 2006 acerbic comedy about the real-life adventures of the fake television journalist Borat (Sacha Baron Cohen) from the real nation of Kazakhstan. This time Borat comes to the US to present his daughter (Maria Bakalova, credited as Irina Nowak) as a gift to Vice President Mike Pence and proceeds to taunt, troll, prod and prank both famous and regular folks. Also with Luenell, Judith Dim Evans, Rudy Giuliani and Dani Popescu. Directed by Jason Woliner. Several lines of dialogue are spoken in Hebrew, some with English subtitles and others without. We see a photo of male genitals with partially shaved pubic hair. A man stands up from a chair and we see what looks like a penis between the cushions (it is implied the chair is made out of a man’s flayed skin). A man wears underwear that reveal his bare buttocks and it has a phallus attached to the front; he dances around a room where two other men are seated and they do not react. A man and his teen daughter do what he calls a fertility dance at a debutante ball and it ends with the girl raising her skirt to reveal blood-soaked underwear and her bare legs as people watch, some in shock. A teen girl lifts her skirt to reveal pubic hair from the sides of her underwear. A man squats (we see his partial bare buttocks) next to a sign in front of a building and says that he defecated there (we do not see feces). A man offers himself to another man (sexually) instead of his teen daughter. A man and his teenage daughter go to a plastic surgeon and ask about breast augmentation; the girl asks the doctor if he would do a “sex attack on me,” and the doctor says, “If your father wasn’t here…” A man and his teen daughter go to a women’s anti-abortion clinic where they ask for a baby to be taken out of the girl (they are referring to a plastic toy in the shape of a baby that the girl swallowed), and the man says, “I put the baby in her”; the clinic representative becomes more uncomfortable as the conversation continues, with implications of incest and abortion. A man is shown attached to the top of a “strong man” mechanism and a man strikes the bottom of it with a hammer that throws a piece of metal up hitting the man in the crotch and he screams. CAVEATS

Be aware that while we do our best to avoid spoilers it is impossible to disguise all details and some may reveal crucial plot elements.

We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and older reviews are not as complete & accurate as recent ones; we plan to revisit and correct older reviews as resources and time permits.

Our ratings and reviews are based on the theatrically-released versions of films; on video there are often Unrated, Special, Director's Cut or Extended versions, (usually accurately labelled but sometimes mislabeled) released that contain additional content, which we did not review.
