Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania SEX/NUDITY 1

 – A woman explains to her husband that she was away for 30 years and adds, “I had needs” (implying a relationship with another man) and the man says that he had needs too, but that no one could compare to her. A man tells another man that he and the other man’s wife had some “wild times” together (implying something sexual). A man and a woman hug and profess their love for each other.
A human form is lifted out of a pool of slimy goo (we see a bare back, buttocks and legs) as we hear how a man became what he is now (please see the Violence/Gore category for more details). A woman wears a low-cut crop top that reveals her cleavage and bare abdomen in several scenes. A man’s outfit reveals his partial bare chest and abdomen.

Ant-Man and the Wasp: Quantumania VIOLENCE/GORE 5

 – Otherworldly creatures are shown to look like scorpions with giant mouths and many teeth, others (referred to here as quantum beings) have humanoid physical features with unusual heads (glowing crystals, what looks like broccoli with many eyes, and heavily decorated mask-like facial coverings).
Attacks on quantum beings and other creatures show flying vessels firing on beings on the ground and as they run for cover many armed soldiers drop out of the flying vessels and shoot at them (when the beings are struck, they disappear); a quantum being is wrapped with glowing ropes and she thrashes in pain like she is being shocked until two others fight the guards holding the ropes, cannons shoot flying vessels out of the air, and there are many explosions causing thick smoke to cover the area. We see a flashback to many worlds and timelines being destroyed and we are told it’s as if they never existed.
Eerie music accompanies an otherworldly landscape as a flash of light crosses in the distance; a woman arms herself and goes to investigate and shoots creatures that attack her, she is knocked to the ground and one creature is about to attack her with a large mouth of teeth until it is shot by someone off-screen. A giant glowing orb moves toward a man and a teen girl, the man embiggens himself as the orb sprouts tentacles that wrap around him and lift him off the ground; the man grips the creature by the tentacles and spins it, throwing it far into the distance. A giant creature rises out of the ground and lumbers toward a man and a teen girl like a gelatinous wave and just as it looms over them, it is shot by something and collapses. A woman shoots armed guards as they approach, she fights them with kicks and throws, three people are surrounded by flying vessels and one quantum being approaches them carrying a knife; a woman moves toward the quantum being and they fight briefly until she gets the knife and cuts its arm off (it grows a new one). A creature is held and struck by armed guards in the background of a scene. A golden helmet floats in the air and when it is opened, we see a man’s head and face inside it; the helmet has weapons mounted on it and it attacks people in several scenes. A man threatens to kill another man’s daughter in front of him and make him watch it over and over again; the man slams the other man against an electrified glass enclosure causing him to be shocked and then slams him against a wall a couple of times; the man’s teen daughter is held off the floor and her arm is twisted causing her to scream and she is dropped to the floor where she moans briefly. A teen girl fights with several armed guards; she shrinks and punches, kicks them and then runs away, and she fights three other guards in a confinement area. A giant-sized man clomps through an area breaking apart buildings and stepping on armed guards, knocking flying vessels out of the air, and yells for another man; the giant-sized man is fired upon relentlessly by many flying vessels while beings on the ground are fired upon; one gelatinous being is shot through and it uses a large hole in its body to grab a guard. A giant-sized man uses a giant piece of metal as a shield against laser cannon fire. A teen girl fights against a flying quantum being that shoots at her, she grabs hold of it, slams it back and forth on the ground, and throws it far in the distance. A quantum being is shown among rubble (we see it with a bloody face, it spits out blood and goop and it dies). A quantum being is slammed by a flying vessel and thrown. A quantum being floats on a glowing disc and shoots at many other quantum beings and creatures as they run for cover (they disappear when they are struck). Many giant ants move through an area and swarm armed guards; a man creates a force field to defend himself and the ants cut through it and swarm the man (we don’t see him again). Two men fight and one man is struck and slammed leaving him with a bloody face. A quantum being is shot repeatedly and backs up close to a power source that sucks him in and he disappears while screaming.
A teen girl displays a piece of technology that she created and it whirrs and a circle of light forms above it; a woman tells her to shut it down and pounds on it fearfully, it stops and then starts up again on its own and objects and the people in the room are sucked into a brightly lighted portal; we see them being tossed around and falling, a man and a teen girl plunge toward giant rock formations and the man embiggens himself and clutches the teen as they crash hard on the ground in an unknown place (no injuries are seen). A woman grabs a glowing power core and throws it, destroying it and causing a large explosion and throwing a man (we see him awaken lying face down in rubble). A man jumps into swirling shrapnel and light searching for a power core, he lands on a surface and is quickly surrounded by many duplicates of himself and they multiply exponentially; one of him grows giant-sized and is cut to pieces (we see limbs fall to the ground with what looks like blood), another one grows giant-sized and we see him pulled apart revealing large twisted cables. Two people jump into a glowing portal and shoot something causing it to shrink and they are thrown hard to the ground (we see them unconscious).
A man is held by several creatures and he struggles to get away as his teen daughter tells him to “drink the ooze”; we see the teen with red liquid dripping from her mouth and the man is held with his mouth open as a red liquid is poured into his mouth and he is instantly able to understand what the creatures are saying to him. A flying vessel moves over terrain and a woman hides two people and herself under foliage to avoid being scanned.
People are told that someone is hunting them and that “He will burn the world to find you.” A man tells a woman, “I thought you were dead.” A quantum being says that someone burned their homes and their stories. A man asks if others know how many people died because of a woman. A person asks, “How are you not dead?” A man tells another man, “Your mind will come undone.” A man orders a quantum being to find and kill a teen girl. We hear that a woman was in the Quantum Realm for 30 years. A man reprimands his teen daughter about using “dangerous tech.” A teen girl talks about wanting to help homeless people and refers to people suffering economically after “The Blip.” A teen girl says that she is trying to do something that matters and implies that her father doesn’t care about helping in several scenes. A teen girl is released from a jail cell and she talks to the releasing officers about them having teargassed peaceful protestors in a park and presents them with a miniaturized police cruiser. A teen girl talks about a man dressed like a bee trying to kill her in her bedroom when she was young. We hear that a teen girl had been arrested more than once. A quantum being says that he is an empath and his forehead glows when he is reading someone’s thoughts; he is frustrated because he says he hates being an empath because “Everyone is disgusting.” A man says, “I lied to her,” about a woman that helped him. A gelatinous creature asks a man how many holes he has and if things come out of his holes.
A man puts his hands into gelatinous tubes in order to fly a vessel. Three people fly on the back of a flying creature (it resembles a manta ray). A man drinks a cocktail that contains a small squid-looking creature in it and the creature screeches as the man drinks the beverage and crunches the creature in his mouth (we see a tiny tentacle between the man’s lips). A man uses a small device to make a pizza increase in size and talks about how much money he saved by ordering a small pie. A man takes a bite of an ice cream cake, exclaims with disgust and makes a face.

We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and older reviews are not as complete & accurate as recent ones; we plan to revisit and correct older reviews as resources and time permits.

Our ratings and reviews are based on the theatrically-released versions of films; on video there are often Unrated, Special, Director's Cut or Extended versions, (usually accurately labelled but sometimes mislabeled) released that contain additional content, which we did not review.
