"One of the 50 Coolest Websites...they simply tell it like it is" - TIME
Weekend at Bernie's II | 1993 | PG | - 2.3.2
Sequel to "Weekend At Bernie's," with the same premise: Andrew McCarthy and Jonathan Silverman have to pretend that the late Bernie Lomax is still alive, since they need him to get to a box containing two million dollars.
SEX/NUDITY 2 - Lots of scanty bathing suits during the beach scenes. One super-brief moment of toplessness in a bikini top-snatching gag. One character runs into the street in his underwear.

VIOLENCE/GORE 3 - Lots of slapstick humor, and plenty of things happen to Bernie that would be considered quite violent, if he were not already dead, such as a spear through the head. One character is forced to drink poison, but gets an antidote later.
LANGUAGE 2 - A vulgar reference to the female anatomy; some name calling and sexual references.
DISCUSSION TOPICS - Voodoo, the supernatural, death.
MESSAGE - Don't look for a message in this film.
CAVEATS
Be aware that while we do our best to avoid spoilers it is impossible to disguise all details and some may reveal crucial plot elements.
We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and older reviews are not as complete & accurate as recent ones; we plan to revisit and correct older reviews as resources and time permits.
Our ratings and reviews are based on the theatrically-released versions of films; on video there are often Unrated, Special, Director's Cut or Extended versions, (usually accurately labelled but sometimes mislabeled) released that contain additional content, which we did not review.
