SEX/NUDITY 4 - A man and a woman kiss. A woman rubs her nose against a man's nose (the man is dead, and she is saying goodbye to him).
► A man lifts a woman's shirt to reveal her pregnant tummy and makes a remark about her diet and then about her having sex with a man. A woman adjusts her dress and tries to get a man's attention while doing so. A few women wear low-cut tops and dresses through much of the movie and a man in a dressing room is shown in boxer shorts. There are three post cards depicting women in bikinis.
► A man describes a woman's tight fitting T-shirt as having a picture of Mt. Rushmore and that the men depicted never looked so happy. A man asks a woman "If we were to do... you know, would you feel anything?" A woman enters a man's room while making comments about having sex with him. People talk about a man having died while waiting for his lover. A man sings a song that has sexually suggestive lyrics in several scenes. A woman talks about having been on her way to meet her "lover." A man makes sexually suggestive jokes in several scenes. We hear about a man who was pulled through the air by a kite, with his pants around his ankles. A woman makes a remark about her mother having surgical birth control. A man talks about being able to see another man's buttock cleavage (nothing is visible).
► It is implied that a man and a woman had a sexual affair and that it ended when the man started an affair with another woman.
VIOLENCE/GORE 3 - A dead man sits slumped in a chair (he apparently died of natural causes).
► A woman grieves over a dead man. A mother and daughter argue in a few scenes. A young woman reads a poem about suicide and seems to have morose thoughts.
► We hear how a woman died in a car accident. We hear that a man died in a car accident and that the car exploded. A man tells a story about a man who shot himself out of the air when he discharged a flair gun inside the cockpit of his plane. A woman moans and pants pretending to have labor contractions. A man tells a joke about woman being created with three breasts and one was cut off to create man.
LANGUAGE 4 - 21 sexual references, 5 scatological terms, 7 anatomical terms (3 mild), 11 mild obscenities, name-calling (dumb, moron), 1 religious profanity, 12 religious exclamations.
SUBSTANCE USE - A man drinks alcohol from a coffee cup, a man drinks alcohol from a flask and a man and a woman drink champagne. A man smokes cigarettes in several scenes, and a man rolls a cigarette.
DISCUSSION TOPICS - Radio variety shows, disappointment, friendship, relationships, family, love, romance, Viagra, single parenting, corporate control, ending an era.
