Ben Affleck stars as Larry Gigli who does odd jobs for some less than savory individuals, like collecting money and acting as muscle. His latest assignment is to kidnap a mentally challenged young man in order to put pressure on his powerful brother. A woman (Jennifer Lopez) shows up at his door the next day saying that she's there to make sure he does his job right, but things get complicated when they are ordered to cut off the thumb of the young man and they find out that he is really the brother of a federal prosecutor.
