A young woman (Katie Holmes) struggles with her own identity when it comes time for her to go off to college and leave her family. That may seem normal for any young person, but what makes her situation slightly more difficult is that her father is the President of the United States (Michael Keaton) and he is on the campaign trail running for re-election. When she demands not to be followed by Secret Service agents everywhere she goes, her father seemingly agrees. A young man (holding a water pistol) is wrestled to the ground by the Secret Service and a young woman is taken away in a car. A car crashes into another car near a crowd on a sidewalk, and a young woman is rushed away from the scene. Two young women argue in front of a crowd of people. A young woman is perpetually hounded by the press and paparazzi. Several members of the press chase a young man and a young woman, and a man on rollerblades is knocked down in the process.
