After years of having an alien population reside on Earth without understanding their motives for coming, the government decides to relocate them to a more secluded area. The leader of the relocation operation (Sharlto Copley) is accidentally contaminated by an alien chemical and begins to take on some alien attributes, and the government wants to dissect him while the aliens want him to help them leave the planet. SEX/NUDITY 4 - We see a TV news report that claims that a man has been contaminated with an alien virus because he has had too much sex with aliens (they refer to it as pornographic activity) and we see a photo of a man standing behind an alien with his genitals blocked out of the picture.
► We hear that a man runs an interspecies prostitution operation. A man remarks about another man having sex with an alien and says he was doing it "doggy style with a demon."
► A woman wears a low-cut top that reveals cleavage.
VIOLENCE/GORE 10 - The aliens have shrimp-like heads, stand on two legs and have two arms with large, pointed claws and they make clicking and scratching noises when they speak.
► Many aliens surround a man, they lunge toward him and tear him apart (we see his head come off and blood spurts, and limbs are pulled off and the aliens begin to eat them).
► A man holds an axe over his hand, brings it down and cuts off an appendage (he screams, we hear a crunch and see the severed digit). A doctor drills into a man's hand, and the man screams in pain. A man cuts a piece of another man's arm off (the man screams and we see blood). We see a man's severed leg on the ground (blood is shown at the separation) and another man picks it up and puts it in a bag.
► A large robot (powered by a man that's inside) shoots at several men, and one is struck in the head (his head disintegrates). Many armed men shoot at a man, he shoots back at them, one man is shot, and another man is blown to pieces (we see goo and splatter spray through the air). A man is shot and another is blown to pieces (we see the goo and pieces thrown through the air). A man's arm is shot off (we see the severed limb and blood). A man shoots two men in a truck (we see the two man fall limp). A man in a truck is shot (blood splatters on the window).
► We see large, bloody openings in a man's chest and back and he yells when he touches them. A blood-soaked bandage is removed from a man's arm and we see a large claw unfold; the man screams in terror. We hear that people are eating alien body parts and we see a man bite into a severed alien arm. A man pulls a fingernail off his finger (the skin and nail are discolored and we hear tearing as the nail separates from the finger) and then another pulls off. Blood drips from a man's wounded hand. We see a man's body covered with lesions and he pulls at the skin (we see some flesh tear away). While eating a man pulls out two of his own teeth that have loosened.
► An alien strikes a man and he is thrown through the air, he throws another man and the alien is shot, tries to crawl away and is shot at close range (blood splatters from his head). An alien is shot several times. An alien kicks a man, the man is thrown through the air and we see blood spurt. A man with a machete strikes an alien in the back (we hear a crunch and the alien falls to the ground). An alien nursery is destroyed and we hear creatures in eggs screaming as they are burned.
► A man shoots two men and they are thrown through the wall of a shelter. A man is zapped with a prod that forces him to fire a weapon at assorted targets, including a pig and an alien, and they are splattered around a room. A man strikes an alien, puts his foot on the alien's throat and points a gun at him. A man strikes several men and a woman, and he picks up a scalpel, which he holds to the throat of another man, and then runs away. We hear a woman crying behind a door and we hear loud blows (she is apparently being beaten). A woman holds a machete to a man's arm and prepares to cut it off (she does not).
► A large robot (powered by a man that's inside) is shot and begins to lose power, it collapses and then tries to pull itself along. A large robot (powered by a man that's inside) is struck by a car, it tips over and we see the man inside twitching. A man is zipped into a black bag and taken away, and he thrashes, struggles and screams.
► A man in a car is shot at as he speeds away. Armed men and dogs chase a man and the man is shot at (he is not struck). A man with a gun threatens an alien. A man with a gun threatens another man. A man is surrounded by men with guns. An alien waves a shovel at a man, and the alien is shot at (it is not struck). A man strikes an alien in the head and the alien falls to the floor. People are shown gathered around a small ring where they are betting on a fight between two small aliens, we set the aliens move around the ring, one spears the other with a long spike and we hear a crunch and see liquid spurt (they look like scorpions).
► Missiles are fired at an alien vessel, it is struck and crashes to the ground. Armed soldiers fire weapons into the air. A soldier lunges at another man, threatens him and the man recoils. There is a large explosion outside a building and people inside are evacuated (we see flames and rubble). We hear about riots between humans and aliens and we see some scuffles between the two factions (shoving and yelling). Many armed military personnel load onto vehicles and load their weapons. Angry protestors carry placards and chant outside a compound. Windows are blown out of tall buildings when a loud noise is emitted from an alien vessel.
► A man drills into an alien ship, opens a hole, and several men enter the vessel where we see a slimy coating on the floors and walls and alien creatures cowering in the dark. We see a dead man lying face down on the ground (there's no blood). We see the remains of aliens in a laboratory setting where experiments took place: in one scene we linger on the bloody remains of an alien. We see an "alien nursery" where eggs are fed by hanging animal carcasses and fluids pass through rubber tubing into the egg casings; a man disconnects several tubes and we hear screaming coming from the eggs. An alien hacks at a bloody piece of meat. An alien hacks at something on the ground (we hear crunching but we do not see what it is). Aliens are shown digging through garbage in a few scenes. We see a shopping cart filled with animal parts (cattle heads, etc.). A man hacks at an animal head and breaks the jaw open. A man sprays himself in the face with something in a canister (we see a black liquid on his face and he coughs). A man eats what's left in a cat food can.
► We hear that doctors are going to "harvest" organs and tissue from a man and prepare to do so without sedating the man. A man collapses and is pushed into a hole in the ground.
► We hear about a mass evacuation of an alien population to an encampment. A man talks about his wife having been taken away by aliens.
► We see a militarized area (referred to as a slum) where aliens are kept. We see a large stockpile of weapons in a shack. We see an enormous alien ship hovering over a city.
► An alien drinks from a bottle (presumably alcohol), and then vomits a black liquid in a violent spray. A man vomits on a table at a party (we see the spray). A man vomits (we see the vomit and hear gagging). An alien urinates on the ground (we see a large spray). Black liquid trickles from a man's nose. A man flatulates loudly and we hear his stomach grumbling.
► A small alien throws a lollipop at a man, he is struck in the head and the man yells angrily. A man wears a large snake around his neck.
LANGUAGE 10 - About 96 F-words, 8 scatological terms, 2 mild obscenities, name-calling (prawns, stupid runt), 4 religious exclamations.
