We hear a man being beaten mercilessly, and see him lying dead on the ground with a very bloody face. Two men fight: one is pulled into a window that cracks, he is slammed into the ceiling and thrown against a wall (we see blood coming from his mouth), the two men continue to punch and kick each other and one man is kicked in the knees (we hear them break and he falls to the floor screaming). A man chases another man, crashes through a window and punches him repeatedly leaving his face and mouth bloody -- we see a boy cowering in the corner after having witnessed the beating. A man pulls a tooth out of his mouth and we see some blood on his hand and the shower floor where he tosses it. A man is hit with something, we see his very bloody mouth and a fight breaks out: many people are kicked and punched and hit with a stick, one man is shot at repeatedly, one man swings from a ceiling fan, and pool tables catch fire. A man falls from a rooftop, jumps across fire escapes, swings from cables, and flips from pipes to move quickly through a city. A boy is nearly hit by a bus. A boy panics and is terrified by what he can hear and the unusual images he can see after his eyes are injured in an accident. A man cringes and appears to be in pain when he hears loud noises. CAVEATS
Be aware that while we do our best to avoid spoilers it is impossible to disguise all details and some may reveal crucial plot elements.
We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and older reviews are not as complete & accurate as recent ones; we plan to revisit and correct older reviews as resources and time permits.
Our ratings and reviews are based on the theatrically-released versions of films; on video there are often Unrated, Special, Director's Cut or Extended versions, (usually accurately labelled but sometimes mislabeled) released that contain additional content, which we did not review.
