The MPAA rating has been assigned for “action, some violence, rude humor, thematic elements and mild language.” The Kids-In-Mind.com evaluation includes many scenes of alien fur-covered creatures fighting and using powers to save each other, the Earth and humans from danger, an explosion leading to the death of a young girl, a couple of people seeming to have been killed, discussions of the annihilation of Earth, discussions of alternate power sources, discussion of power and greed, and some strong language. When Sonic (voiced by Ben Schwartz) and his team (voiced by Idris Elba and Colleen O’Shaughnessey) are called into service to fight an evildoer, he realizes that it is his family and his team that give him the strength and courage to choose what to do. Sonic the Hedgehog 3 SEX/NUDITY 1

 – A soap opera shows a woman telling a man that she has fallen in love with another man (his twin brother).
 A man touches his own clothed chest and makes a comment about developing “man boobs.” A man pulls up his shirt and we see his bare abdomen as he talks about having gained weight. A man pulls another man’s shirt off and we see his bare chest and abdomen.

Sonic the Hedgehog 3 VIOLENCE/GORE 3

 – A fur-covered creature runs around a laboratory creating what people call “chaos energy”; we later see an explosion when a containment vessel is shot and we hear that people were killed, including a young girl; we see her lying on the ground with the fur-covered creature and a man grieving over her. A fur-covered creature punches a man hard in the stomach throwing him back through the air and he lands on the floor motionless; we see him being taken away on a stretcher later. A man is launched into a stream of energy and is zapped like a bug in a bug zapper (we do not see him again). A fur-covered creature falls unconscious into Earth’s atmosphere and another fur-covered creature tries to save him and throws a ring that creates a portal that protects him.
 A man dangles over a hole in a space vessel and another man steps on his hand causing him to fall through the hole and into space (he is rescued). Drones shoot weapons into a crowded restaurant, a man on a motorcycle shoots the drones disabling them and speeds away as we see that a man is pinned under rubble caused by the explosions and he appears to die. A demonstration of security systems shows lasers cutting things into small pieces. A man pushes another man into a secured area with lasers all around to see if the suits they are wearing will protect them from being cut by the lasers (the man is not harmed). Two men fight and one punches the other in the throat, the other chases the first man using a jetpack and then hits him with a large metal glove throwing him across the room; we later see one man spanking the other man with a large metal glove, one man sprouts scorpion claws and tail and moves toward the other man that produces metal claws and cuts half of the other man’s mustache off. A robot shoots at a fur-covered creature and sets a forest on fire and many more robots surround the creature preparing to attack him until another creature with a large hammer arrives and slams them away.
 A large energy beam is pointed toward Earth and fur-covered creatures struggle to redirect it away and inadvertently cut a slice out of the moon. A black hole opens and sucks everything and everyone through it; three fur-covered creatures are pulled through it and land on a stone cliff. Guards on a prison island monitor a fur-covered creature held in a containment vessel and alarms blare when it appears that the fur-covered creature is reviving; many armed guards enter the area and the fur-covered creature punches the glass shattering it and dispatching all the guards with punches and kicks, and throwing one against the observation glass. A giant vessel lifts out of a river and hovers in the air. A large wave slams into a crab-shaped vessel knocking it over. A variable gravity device causes several people to be slammed to the floor and others to float in the air; one man’s dentures are pulled out and we see them on the floor. Pieces of rebar slam to the floor near people being held down by a gravity device.
 Two fur-covered creatures with superpowers fight midair and we see them throwing and punching each other, one loses its powers and the other pins him to the ground and raises his fist but does not hit him. Three fur-covered creatures jump out of a helicopter mid-flight and sail toward a city in flames where people scatter and scream; a large truck is thrown through the air and an alien catches it before it hits the others, a fur-covered creature is kicked back and forth in the air, one fur-covered creature fights with three others before speeding away on a motorcycle, and chased by one of the others. Two fur-covered creatures fight giant flying robots blowing several up midair. A fur-covered creature riding a motorcycle shoots at another fur-covered creature chasing him and speeds up the side of a building and into the air; the two fur-covered creatures crash together midair and cause a large explosion that knocks out the power in the city below, and one of the fur-covered creatures wakes up on a roof handcuffed to a bar. A fur-covered creature slams another fur-covered creature against a wall. A fur-covered creature is held in a containment vessel and we see it fill with a liquid that holds him in stasis. A man elbows another man in the abdomen. A fur-covered creature confronts a man that is protecting a gem with special powers; the creature snatches it away and disappears.
 A man and a fur-covered creature talk about wanting revenge for “what they did to her.” A woman tells a fur-covered creature to use a special item to “go God mode.” A fur-covered creature tells another fur-covered creature, “The more you talk the harder I want to hit you.” Three fur-covered creatures argue about using a device that will give them more power to defeat someone with evil intent. A helicopter lands and a woman gets out with an armed guard asking for three fur-covered creatures to go with her to help fight an evildoer. A fur-covered creature watches a Godzilla-type movie and imagines that people will want to destroy him too; he asks a young girl, “Am I dangerous?” A character says that another character has tried to kill him twice. A woman yells at a security guard to let her into a building and threatens him. A man says, “Humanity is a failed experiment,” and plans to annihilate the Earth. A fur-covered creature says, “Boo” causing another fur-covered creature to startle. A man tells another man, “terabyte me.” A man makes a dismissive remark about a woman being in the military. A man talks about creating drone weapons from his “egg sack.” A fur-covered creature burns a marshmallow on the end of a stick and says, “I have dishonored my marshmallow.” Several characters refer to a “nasty old man smell.”
 A fur-covered creature practices with nunchucks and hits himself in the head (he’s OK). A man touches a strand of fur from a fur-covered creature to his tongue in a few scenes and he is zapped with a flash of electricity. Three fur-covered creatures race through a forest and one is disappointed when he thinks he did not win, but realizes the others are actually holograms. A dog barks and subtitles read, “You stole my hoomans.” A fur-covered creature and a young girl become friends and we see the creature running through a compound pulling the girl on roller skates behind him; one time they crash into a food cart spilling food and sweets all over the floor. Two men ride a roller coaster and scream, and one man learns to ride a bicycle and crashes into a shrub.
 A floating machine squirts condiments onto a burrito and makes rude noises (like flatulence).
