A young woman (Sulem Calderon) dreams of making her way from Honduras to California to be with her mother and when one day a young man seems to offer her a way to do so, she agrees. Unfortunately, she does not realize that the arrangements come with unsavory demands and she may become the victim of human trafficking. ► Several scenes show people living in squalor and one scene shows children playing with garbage in a stream. A young woman says that she didn't grow up with electricity. We see a dead cow in a field as wolves prowl around. A woman talks about the smell of a morgue. A young woman applies makeup to a deceased person in a funeral home. A man and young woman ride on the roof of a bus; they must duck to avoid tree limbs at one point.
