A woman (Miranda Cosgrove) comes home to America from London and informs her mother (Brooke Shields) that she is going to be married in a month. When the families meet, the mother of the bride realizes that the father of the groom (Benjamin Bratt) is the man that broke her heart many years earlier. Also with Sean Teale, Chad Michael Murray and Rachael Harris. Directed by Mark Waters. A few lines of dialogue are spoken in Spanish without translation. [Running Time: 1:28]

Mother of the Bride SEX/NUDITY 4

 – A man and a woman kiss several times in several scenes. A married couple kisses a couple of times.
 Men and women line dance, swiveling their hips and doing pelvic thrusts. Two men dance closely at a party and one man remarks about another man being attractive.
 We hear that a man’s wife left him shortly after marriage and the birth of their son. A man wants to date a female colleague about twice his age and they smile, talk, and have a drink together, but they never form a relationship; he seems sad. A man and woman argue for several seconds. A woman says, “I’ve never ridden a Harley before,” implying the young man that she is staring at a swimming pool.
 A woman enters a bathroom and sees a shirtless man (we see his bare chest and abdomen); she gasps and covers her eyes and when he comes out of the bathroom, he is fully nude (we see his bare chest, abdomen, legs to the upper thighs and back) and holds a hat over his crotch as the woman rushes out. Two women and three men on a beach run to the water, disrobing, and we see underwear on the women and the men may or may not be completely nude (they are all shadowed). Several men in several hotel pool scenes are shirtless; one man’s low-rise shorts reveal his chest and abdomen to the hips as he sprays tanning oil over his torso and a few women stare at him, mouth agape. Several women wear tight-fitting yoga pants and sleeveless crop tops throughout the film and one woman wears backless halter-top floor length dresses that reveal cleavage. A woman wears a long dress that when backlit by the sun reveals the outline of her legs and hips.

Mother of the Bride VIOLENCE/GORE 3

 – During a pickleball match, a woman hits a ball into a man’s groin and he grabs his groin, shouts in pain, and collapses, but gets up when a doctor comes to help; someone tries to put an ice bag on his groin, but he says he does not need it. A woman steps on a man’s foot and hits his instep with a chair leg as she pulls her chair closer to a table and he yells. A woman knocks over shelves and falls while wearing a dress that is too tight around the legs (no injuries occur). A clothed couple falls into a hotel swimming pool a couple of times, but is uninjured. Dozens of clothed people jump or fall into a hotel swimming pool, without injuries.
 A man and a woman are stranded on an isolated beach when their car won’t start and the woman becomes frantic; they are later rescued by a man in a boat. A hotel official reprimands a man and a woman for swimming nude at a beach, stating that they were caught on surveillance cameras (please see the Sex/Nudity category for more details); he tells them to refrain from such behavior in the future, while staff and guests walk by and laugh at them.
 We hear that a woman’s father died in a car accident when she was eight. A mother and her adult daughter argue several times. Two women argue. A man and a woman argue a few times. A man and a woman argue intensely a few times. A woman cries a lot at a wedding; she is maid of honor. A woman says that she is sad and worried about being alone for the rest of her life, having been a widow for 20 years.
