The MPAA rating has been assigned for “strong/bloody violence and language throughout.” The Kids-In-Mind.com evaluation includes a few kisses and discussions of love, many scenes of people being shot and stabbed and slashed with knives and other sharp weapons, many scenes of people fighting with punches as well as kicks and throws leading to death and injuries with evident blood, a couple of deaths by a straw, and at least 67 F-words and other strong language. After escaping a life as an enforcer for his criminal brother, a man (Ke Huy Quan) is dragged back in to save the woman (Ariana DeBose) he loves. Also with Mustafa Shakir, Lio Tipton, Daniel Wu, Cam Gigandet, Marshawn Lynch, André Eriksen, Rhys Darby, Sean Astin and Drew Scott. Directed by Jonathan Eusebio. Love Hurts SEX/NUDITY 2

 – A man and a woman kiss tenderly. A man and a woman talk about understanding each other and the man touches the woman’s chin tenderly. A man professes his love to a woman.
 Dancers in an exotic dance club/bar dance onstage and around poles wearing skimpy outfits (we see cleavage, bare abdomens, backs, legs and partial buttocks). A woman wearing a bra lies in bed (we see cleavage and her abdomen and legs are covered).
 A man talks about “a special someone.” A man talks about his wife kicking him out again.

Love Hurts VIOLENCE/GORE 7

 – A man stabs another man in the eye with a straw and we see blood dribble from the straw as the man rolls toward the screen and dies. A man wakes up with his head on a desk, handcuffed to a chair and his other hand is stabbed through the desktop (we see blood and the blade); he head-butts another man, one man throws knives at the other man, they fight with the knife and one man uses sharpened pencils; they kick, punch and throw each other as they dodge weapons, and one man slips and hits his head on a desk, landing unconscious on the floor (we see some blood on his face).
 Two armed men shoot into a house where there are four people that hide and dodge the bullets; the gunmen enter the house and a man inside throws knives at them while being shot at, a man is shot through the head and we see the bloody wound, other men fight and we hear slashing as blood sprays. Two men fight with one swinging a baseball bat and hitting the other in the head and body, one man slashes the other man in the face using a straw and stabs him in the leg, back and chest with the straw; one man is pinned to the floor and the other punches him hard in the face and head (blood pours), and another man comes behind him and he is shot. A man with a gun is struck in the head with a thrown rock and falls back, another armed man enters and he and a man fight with throws and punches; one man pins the other man to a counter and presses his gun into the man’s injured hand, one man kicks a soda can into another man’s face, one man is kicked and flipped repeatedly (we see bloody noses), and one man is locked inside a refrigerator and thrown over a counter, but he gets up and runs out of the room tackling another man and they crash through a window and to the ground outside (we see him with a knife in his back that he pulls out). A man punches another man in the head and face repeatedly and we see blood dripping from the attacker’s knuckles. A woman threatens a man with a gun and she is surrounded and attacked by several other men; a man is attacked by several men and he breaks one man’s neck with a crack, breaks another man’s arm, and punches, kicks and throws several others, a woman is choked, a man is shot in the back and another is shot in the chest and a man is stabbed in the chest several times (we see blood spray). A man is bound and gagged in the trunk of a car with a bloody hand and we see that he is missing a finger.
 A man with a gun shoots a decoy in a woman’s apartment. A man touches another man’s shoulder in a bar and the second man hits him in the crotch, face and abdomen knocking him to his knees. A woman pulls tape off a man’s mouth and pulls out two of his teeth (they are caps); we see bloody gums. A woman tasers two men and they fall to the ground. A man handcuffed to a chair is asked by another man about a woman’s whereabouts. A man drives a woman to a place where there is an open ditch in the ground and leaves her there. A woman holds a taser to a man’s chin (he is restrained in a chair) and engages it near his face. A man breaks a glass window with a baseball bat.
 A woman speeds in a car through streets and swerves around corners as we hear pounding and yelling coming from the trunk. A man is upset when he sees that someone has drawn a Hitler mustache on his face on an advertising banner. People say, “If you steal from him, you die” in a few scenes. A woman says, “I lost everything.” A woman says that a man is a black belt in martial arts and could crush a man with his thumb. A man talks about his wife kicking him out again. Men threaten each other a few times. A woman reads a poem and talks to the man that wrote it about his poetry being about death and killing.
 A man’s hand drips blood after a stab wound. A man cleans and bandages his very bloody stab wound on his hand.
