Kung Fu Panda 4 SEX/NUDITY 0
– Two monkeys steal a panda’s pants and we see them each in a leg of the pants running away, as the panda covers its legs with its arms.
Kung Fu Panda 4 VIOLENCE/GORE 3
– A panda and a fox fight with many other characters in a tavern; knives are thrown, kicks and punches are exchanged, a spicy spice mix is thrown into the face of one character, and the tavern teeters back and forth since it is resting on a mountain peak. A panda follows a fox into a building and they fight using kicks and throws, a large dagger is thrown and caught by the panda, the fox lies motionless on the floor (pretending), the panda uses a staff that glows, eventually wrapping the fox in chains; we see property damage, but no apparent injuries. A panda uses a staff to throw a blast of energy that knocks several foes down and they seem dizzied. A boar attacks a panda and they fight; the panda is thrown out a window and the panda and a fox fall over a ledge crashing onto the deck of a ship below, unharmed. Many sharp spinning discs move toward a panda and a fox as they walk through a tunnel entrance and they must jump out of the way or be sliced; when they reach the end of the tunnel the panda is trapped in a heavy cage. A panda punches a hole into the ground to escape a cage and falls into an area where many lizards arm themselves and fight with the panda; the panda escapes and is pushed over a wall and out of sight until we see him clinging to a branch in a sheer rock wall where a small lizard jumps onto the panda’s back, a goose knocks the lizard off the panda’s back, and the goose and the panda are rescued by another panda. Many armed lizard guards chase a panda and the guards are chased and attacked by many other animals that fight them with flipping, throwing and biting. A peacock kicks a panda, an elephant swings the panda around with its trunk, a wolf snarls and bites the panda, and a bull uses its horns as weapons against the panda until a heavy cage tumbles down on the bull. A creature made up of many other creatures flies through the air, bites a hole in a roof and carries a fox and a panda on its back as they try to bring the creature down; the fox falls off the creature’s back and lands on the ground (shaken but OK), and the creature wraps the panda in its long tongue and swings the panda around before being trapped in a cage.
► A panda uses a staff to blast a chameleon and pins it to the floor. A chameleon opens a glowing portal (the spirit realm) and as many characters walk through, the chameleon latches onto them with its tongue and appears to be absorbing their powers before locking them in heavy cages. A panda and a fox sneak through an area where many lizard henchmen are sleeping; the panda nearly sneezes and when the fox pinches the panda’s nose to muffle the sneeze, the panda inadvertently flatulates (we see a small puff of gas from the back of the panda’s pants).
► Several characters seated around a table discuss taking someone out and describe them as a shape-shifter; a crocodile at the end of the table transforms into a chameleon that is enraged by what they have been plotting, and transforms into an elephant, threatens the others at the table that try to get away, and chases a large bear and pushes it down a flight of stairs (we do not see injuries).
► A panda fights a manta ray throwing it out of the water and spinning in the air before pinning it to a dock, stomping on it causing it to spit out three small piglets (no injuries are seen). A panda threatens several customers in a tavern; the panda becomes upset when splinters stick into its palm, several of the panda’s teeth are spat onto a table, and the panda fights with several of the characters in the tavern until the tavern tips off the peak where it rests and crashes into water below. Several lizard guards are tied together by their tails and dangle over a sheer rock wall.
► A panda and a goose climb steps around a sheer rock wall, one step disappears and the panda falls into mist but lands unharmed on a ledge not too far below. A couple of tavern scenes show customers drinking from mugs and the contents of one mug is lit on fire by the bartender. A panda and a fox are arrested and put into a cart that they escape from; they are chased by many bulls through a city, along rooftops, they slide through drains, bounce down flights of stairs in a cart, and sail through the air on a dragon kite. Three small rabbits snarl and show sharp teeth at a panda, they jump into the panda’s pants, climb onto the panda’s chest and bite causing the panda to yell (no injuries are shown). Three small rabbits give a panda a cup of tea and when it is spilled on the floor, it bubbles and smolders (like acid). A monkey runs through a scene with its pants on fire and a panda dunks it into a cauldron of water to douse the flames. A chameleon wraps a fox with its long tongue. A training sequence shows several animals using martial skills on a fox; the fox’s tail catches fire as it runs across the screen (it’s OK).
► A ship crashes into a pier when the fish steering the ship appears to be inebriated. Many individuals move through streets in a city and we see armed lizard henchmen taking money from several of them. A large leopard throws flames around and sets things on fire in a mine where many goats are working and threatens them to take everything they have.
► Several candidates audition for a position and display their martial skills including throwing flames and crushing boulders; one large goat screams loudly after not being chosen. A goose and a panda panic when another panda (that they refer to as their son) disappears and the goose worries that the panda might be tortured. A panda glowers at another panda and speaks in a disapproving tone in several scenes. A panda inhales several flower pedals and coughs. A fox blows a raspberry toward a panda. Three small rabbits chant for a punishment to be “slow and painful.”
► A pelican holds a fish in its mouth throughout the movie and the fish speaks. A crocodile blows a puff of smoke into a panda’s face. A fox puts a peach pit into an elephant’s trunk causing it pain. A panda screams in frustration.
