The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild SEX/NUDITY 1

 – A mammoth talks about finding a partner. Two possums practice flipping into the air and one lands on its crotch and moans about its “possum parts.” A zorilla is shown wearing a waist belt made of leaves (resembles a skirt).

The Ice Age Adventures of Buck Wild VIOLENCE/GORE 3

 – Several dinosaurs and animals are knocked off a cliff and we understand that they died.
Three raptors chase two possums through a cave as another dinosaur says, “I smell mammals”; the possums run and fall over a cliff, bounce off a tree and crash to the ground where they are chased by a giant spider and dodge being stepped on by a giant dinosaur (the spider is squished under its foot). A flying dinosaur helmed by a weasel scoops two possums out of danger and sails through the air; raptors cling to the back of the dinosaur and snap at the possums until the dinosaur flies through a narrow crack in a rock wall. Two possums and a weasel jump over a cliff and run away from raptors, they are struck by a giant swinging mallet and thrown through the air and pass through winding caverns into a den. A dinosaur is dropped onto an island called “Lava Island” as punishment for killing others. A zorilla jumps through a cave and throws a dagger at a raptor knocking it out; the zorilla sprays a green gas that fills the area knocking raptors and a weasel unconscious. A weasel stands at a watering hole and warns animals and dinosaurs of a grave threat as many raptors arrive and charge toward them; the weasel fights with many raptors and others run and fight. A large T-rex lumbers through a jungle area and two possums rush toward it and cling to its chin embracing it. A weasel puts an explosive in a T-rex’s mouth and when it blows up, we see purple fumes; dinosaur wakes up and stumbles around in a daze, and its tail swats two raptors throwing them into the distance. Four animals run from many raptors that chase and snap at them; they hide on top of a rock formation where the dinosaurs cannot reach them. A weasel is carried in a cage to a watering hole where a dinosaur plans to have it killed by raptors. Mammoths fight with raptors, knocking them down and throwing them around and a saber-tooth tiger threatens others that are approaching a sloth. Two possums are surrounded by many raptors, they use two tiny lizards that blow fire to distract them, and they all play dead.
Two possums climb up a snowy peak and when one of them pushes a stick into the snow, the glacier breaks apart and the possums fall; we see them sledding as an avalanche blows toward other animals that run for cover (no one is harmed). A young mammoth separated from its herd is shown shivering and nestled under a tree until two young possums come to play (we understand that the mother possum took the mammoth in). A possum flings another possum from a bent tree branch and we see the possum crash through a hole in the ground that leads to a cave. A plant snatches two possums off the ground and when a weasel yells at it, it spits them out with some slime on them. A possum steps on another possum’s paw. Two possums play dead and fall to the ground when raptors lunge at them. Several fragile items are broken in a den when two possums touch things and knock them over. Four animals sail in a boat made of what looks like half a skull and they call it a bone boat. Two possums poke a sleeping weasel (it does not wake up). A zorilla sprays a T-rex and causes it to pass out and a weasel pulls one of its giant teeth after standing in its mouth examining them. Two possums practice flipping into the air and one lands on its crotch and moans about its “possum parts.” Two possums practice blowing berries through tubes as an attack method; we see them strike a skull held on a stick and it is knocked off successfully. Two mammoths, a saber-toothed tiger and a sloth push a boulder that is blocking the entrance to a cave and they run away when it rolls toward them; they jump off a cliff and land on the ground in a pile (except for the sloth that lands flat on its face and moans). A cage holding a weasel is pushed over a ledge toward awaiting raptors, the cage is swung around, it breaks apart and the weasel clings from a rock overhang and is helped up to safety by a zorilla.
A mammoth yells at two possums a couple of times. A mammoth talks about kicking two possums out of their herd. A mammoth talks about the possum’s only natural defense, which is to play dead. There are a few remarks about two possums going “off to their doom.” A mammoth blames another mammoth for two possums leaving the herd. A dinosaur runs from raptors on an island and manages to entrance them with fire; the dinosaur says, “I will bend you to my will.” A dinosaur yells at and belittles raptors in several scenes. Two animals argue about planning and mistakes in a few scenes.
Two possums and a young mammoth play dead and the ground shakes when the mammoth falls to the ground. Two possums stand with their mouths agape and rush into a cave entrance with a large open mouth and teeth surrounding it.
We see a raised patch of ground where it is implied a possum is buried and two possums and a mammoth stand over it tearfully. A weasel is shown with a patch over one eye.
We see cave paintings of animals as a voice-over describes how each animal was either abandoned by their families or orphaned by hunters. We hear about a lost world of dinosaurs. We see animal bones decorating a weasel’s den.
Two possums hold what they are told are poisonous berries and have venomous snakes wrapped around their shoulders as well as fire breathing lizards that singe the fur on the top of a weasel’s head. A zorilla complains that it has to wait after spraying to generate more. A weasel says that a dinosaur needs gas and feeds it berries. A possum complains of having a marshmallow in its ear. A dinosaur is shown to have an overdeveloped head (it looks like a brain).

Be aware that while we do our best to avoid spoilers it is impossible to disguise all details and some may reveal crucial plot elements.

We've gone through several editorial changes since we started covering films in 1992 and older reviews are not as complete & accurate as recent ones; we plan to revisit and correct older reviews as resources and time permits.

Our ratings and reviews are based on the theatrically-released versions of films; on video there are often Unrated, Special, Director's Cut or Extended versions, (usually accurately labelled but sometimes mislabeled) released that contain additional content, which we did not review.
