Why is “Fast X” rated PG-13? The MPAA rating has been assigned for “intense sequences of violence and action, language and some suggestive material.” The Kids-In-Mind.com evaluation includes an implied sex scene, a couple of kissing scenes, some suggestive dancing, a large bomb rolling through the streets of Italy causing a lot of destruction and resulting in a giant explosion, many scenes of cars racing along roads causing crashes and explosions and implied injuries and deaths, many scenes of gunfire exchanges with people being struck and killed, the kidnapping of a young boy, many threats of violence, and at least 1 F-word in Italian without translation and other strong language. In the tenth installment of the “Fast & Furious” franchise, a person from the past (Jason Momoa) bent on revenge threatens Dom Toretto (Vin Diesel) and his family. The action drifts from Los Angeles to Rome, Rio, Turin, Lisbon, London, and ultimately Antarctica. Fast X SEX/NUDITY 3

 – A woman kisses a man on the back of the shoulder, he turns around and she jumps into his arms; they lie on a bed talking and kissing, the woman straddles the man and the scene ends (sex is implied).
► Men talk about dating apps and one man posts a listing for another man; we see some matches pop up on his phone screen. Women touch a man’s face tenderly in a couple of scenes and one woman hugs the man. A man tries to send a kiss to a woman and she rebuffs him.
► A man makes a few crude suggestive remarks.
► Many women wear skimpy shorts and skirts and dance suggestively (we see cleavage, bare abdomens and legs to the hips). A woman wears a low-cut sweater that reveals cleavage. Women wear low-cut tops and tanks that reveal cleavage in several scenes. A man wears a shirt unbuttoned with his bare chest and abdomen visible. A woman wears a cropped top that reveals cleavage and bare abdomen. A man wearing only briefs climbs out of a bag and we see his bare chest, abdomen, back and legs as he runs away.

Fast X VIOLENCE/GORE 7

 – A truck rams through the wall of a police station as it is shot at by armed officers in and around the building, cars speed through the hole and attach cables to a vault that is then dragged out of the building and through streets crashing into other cars and objects; the cars are chased by police cars onto a bridge and the vault slams into cars, throwing some over the side of the bridge and into water below, one vehicle has a gun mounted on top and it shoots until it is thrown off the bridge and we see the driver thrown free and into the water below; a car flips and slams onto another car where a man yells (we see later that he pulled himself out of the car). A man yells as he watches someone shoot a woman in the head. A man shoots another man at point-blank range. A few people are shot by a sniper in a helicopter and he takes aim at a woman until a man jumps toward the woman and uses a car door as a shield. A woman is shot in the shoulder and we see blood.
► A man drags the bodies of two guards into a room and threatens a woman inside; many armed guards point guns at the woman after they are shown videos of their loved ones held hostage, and one guard is stabbed and slashed (he falls dead to the floor with blood splattering and the man that stabbed him licks the blade of his knife). Many armed guards train their weapons on a woman and they do not discharge; the woman fights them with punches, kicks and throws, she is stabbed in the back by one guard and she shoots several others, runs to an elevator and it falls as she fights a guard inside, plunging her thumbs into his eyes and uses him to break the impact when they crash to the ground. A man stands at a door and another man grabs him and pulls him inside where he punches and kicks him several times; police drive through the wall and the two men fight them shooting and stabbing many of them (some blood spurts), smoke bombs are deployed and a man uses a gun and another man uses a crowbar to strike.
► Two cars speed around armored vehicles in narrow streets as a remote control car moves under one of them, dispenses a gas into the cabin and knocks out the occupants; two people get into the truck and push the unconscious people out, the truck is controlled remotely and crashes into other vehicles, causing explosions in crowded areas (people run screaming), a woman on a motorcycle chases the truck and is nearly pinched when the truck swerves to cut her off, and we see that there is a very large bomb in the back of the truck; the truck flips over and the bomb rolls out of the back and along roads and through populated areas causing a lot of destruction (including police cars, gas pumps, part of the Vatican, many buildings and cafés, a bus is cut in half, the bomb bounces down flights of stairs) in an extended scene as a man in a car tries to stop it or redirect it before it detonates; when it does explode we see a large cloud and the wave throws cars and a lot of debris into the air.
► Four cars speed in a race, one car pulls in the lead and explodes, flipping it on its top and engulfed in flames (we understand the driver is killed); another car pulls into the lead and it is bumped by another car causing it to flip and the explosive device that was under it is dislodged but still explodes and the car is shown burning but the driver is pulled out alive. Smoke bombs are thrown into a house where a woman and a young boy are and men with guns break through the door; the woman fights the armed men with punches, kicks and bites, the boy hides in the bathroom and a man arrives to help with the fight (he punches, throws and shoots many of the intruders). A man driving an armored, “cannon car” speeds through a wall and drives away chased by many other cars; the driver shoots cannons at the chase cars a few times and they explode in flames; the mechanism gets jammed and a young boy climbs out of the car to fix it, but is grabbed by a man in another car and taken away.
► Two women fight with heavy punches and kicks and one woman is slammed against an elevator door before they crash through a large glass wall and fall to a lower level; one woman throws shards of glass into the other woman’s face, one woman wraps a cable around the other woman’s neck, and a robot fires lasers at one of the women. A woman enters a bar, is surrounded by a couple of threatening people, she knocks them out with punches and shoots a gun into the ceiling before ordering two beers. Several men surround another man and he punches and kicks them leaving them unconscious. A man and a young boy go to the bathroom on an airplane and are followed by three men that the first man punches, rendering them unconscious (we see them in a pile in one of the bathrooms). A woman stabs another woman in the shoulder (we see blood) and then pretends that the stabbed woman is attacking her; guards come into the room and hold the stabbed woman. Two men push each other while arguing, they fight, knocking each other to the floor while another man yells at them about the damage they are causing. A woman punches a man in the face and another man throws sand in his face. Two women are restrained on medical tables and one of them disables the locks and dispenses a gas into a control room where people fall unconscious. A man punches a heavy bag and whenever he hits it we hear a groan coming from the bag (we later see that a man was inside the bag and he has cuts and bruises on his face). A man punches and kicks another man leaving him with a bloody face and he pulls a bloody tooth from his mouth.
► Two large trucks block a road at the top of a dam and speed toward a car between them, the car crashes through a barrier as the trucks crash together and explode, the car speeds down the dam wall followed by flames from the truck explosion and into the water below; the driver and a young boy get out of the car and swim to the shore. A large plane is shot with an RPG and we see it on fire as it crashes behind a mountain (presumably killing everyone onboard). A man in a car is dropped out of a plane midair and it lands on a road where it is chased by other cars, it is pushed off the road and into oncoming traffic that it swerves to avoid, another car flips over and explodes, blowing up several other cars with it. Two helicopters shoot harpoons into a car and try to lift it off the ground, the car swerves and drags the helicopters causing them to crash and explode and the car continues to drag them along the road crashing into overpasses and other cars. A rocket crashes into a transport vehicle on a bridge and it flips over throwing the people inside around, men with guns shoot at each other and a car is rigged to speed around the area and crash into other vehicles. A man and a young boy in a small flying vehicle drop out of the bottom of a plane midair and fly away. A woman on a motorcycle chases a man on a motorcycle and the man pulls down a light fixture to cut the woman off, but she maneuvers over. We see several video clips of activity undertaken by a group, referred to as “The Agency,” that show destruction and explosions. Many cars speed on dirt roads in a mining area and rocks from the walls fall pinning some cars under them. A woman is arrested and we understand that she has been taken to a black site prison. Two cars spin around on a bridge and a young boy jumps from one car to the other and one car drives off the road. Two women walk through snow in Antarctica and watch as a submarine surfaces through the ice in front of them.
► A man talks to two dead bodies as he paints the toenails of one person; we see them with tape attached to their faces to keep their eyes open and create an expression on their faces, and a fly crawls across the open eye of one body. A woman stands at the door of a house and we see that she has a bloody abdominal wound and has blood on her face and hands; a woman inside the house loads a gun and stands in the room with her. A man licks the side of a woman’s face and kicks her on the buttocks. A woman on a medical table is shown undergoing computer controlled laser repair of a stab wound on her shoulder. A woman and three men exit a cargo container gasping, and complain of the smell of the shipment of cologne the container is carrying.
► A remark is made about someone going to juvenile prison and a mental facility. Men talk about making someone suffer. A man says, “Suffering is owed.” A woman talks about gladiators not having family for a reason. A man says, “I was legally dead for 2 minutes.” A man talks about having panic attacks after his father died. A man says, “There are so many people to hurt.” People talk about “mercenary kill teams.” A man says, “I’m gonna cut her everywhere, deeply.”
► A young boy drives a fast car and spins it in circles in an empty lot. A young boy is afraid while on an airplane; a man helps to calm him down.
